NEW Blockbuster: The Suicide Squad One of the better movies in the DC Universe (DCU). But we expected that from writer/director James Gunn. The movie has plenty of humor and charm mixed in with over the top, grotesque violence that will leave you going, “Ohhhhhhhhhhhh-no he didn’t.” ———————— PS: This newsletter is dedicated to The Suicide Squad mini-franchise, set under DCs’ mega-franchise. Let’s get you up to date. Are there any scenes after the End Credits of The Suicide Squad? In a word, yes. In fact, there are two. 2016’s Suicide Squad, reviewed by a newbie Having heard less than stellar reports of the 2016 Suicide Squad film, I had low expectations. Thus, my expectations were exceeded. Funny how that works. But the squad characters were so much fun to watch as they squabbled like siblings, and still leaked lethal competence from every pore. Dan’s original 2016 Suicide Squad review I have to admit it, I was hoping Suicide Squad would be the Guardians of the Galaxy of the DC universe. It didn’t come close.
