Want to contact RunPee?

Do you have an issue with the RunPee app, or your user account? If so then the most efficient way to contact me is via the “Contact” in the RunPee app. This will open your email client and pre-populate the subject line with your account ID so that I can quickly help solve any problem you might have. Or if you don’t want to bother you can just email [email protected]. I’ll get back to you asap — usually within 8 hours.
Media requests
If you would like to talk to us about featuring the RunPee app in a news story then please email [email protected].
You can also send a tweet to @RunPee. We check our tweets pretty regularly. Note: this is not a good way to get technical support, but works great if you just want to comment and chat with us about something.
Finally, FaceBook RunPee page is a great way for you to leave your experiences for other users, and stay on top of our latest “movie break” updates. It’s pretty much our newsletter.
….You’re still here? Was there something else you wanted from this page? No? Okay, go see a movie.
Stephanie
So funny, but very practical! I’ve passed your site along to others! Congrats!
harley
…found the link in Germany. do you only write in Englisch?
I thought this was a joke at first….
is there a newsletter?
polyGeek
@harley, there isn’t a newsletter, yet. But there will be one eventually. Right now I’m just working on improving the site and stuff. And there will be international versions in the future as well. Just hold it a little bit longer. 🙂
Emalyn
I think your site is WONDERFUL!!! A friend told me and I’ve told many people and posted it on Facebook as well.
polyGeek
@Emalyn, Thanks so much. That reminds me that I need to get to work on a Facebook app for RunPee.
ashley
this is the strangest and funniest app I’ve run across. Keep up the good work! 🙂
Pinky
This is so cool. I’m going to try it tonight at Public Enemy. Last week my friend told me I missed that best part at “The Proposal” when the were doing the indian chanting ….or something. I am always full of a large Starbucks iced coffee so these breaks are important!
Mikey
Great site, thanx for finally keeping me from holding my pee the whole movie, I will definately recommend this site to all my friends!!!
polyGeek
@Mikey, Thanks! Go Bobcats!!!
Allison
Hey – Pee Maestro –
Where are the Harry Potter pee times? I will be seeing it in less than 4 hours, and will need that info! I don’t know if I can hold it much longer…
polyGeek
I saw Harry Potter at 9am EST and came right home to add the PeeTimes. I hope I got them up in time for you. I tried to go to the midnight show last night but it was sold out. 🙁
Unknowman
Hi!frist,I think Harry Potter is too long to watch, and you could try to stop drinking water,so, you won’t …however, sometime we also feel that ”Oh! god! I can’t stand any longer !anybody wait a minute OK?” shit, that’s me……
Mary
Bloody freakin marvelous idea! Wish I had discovered you before I sat through the whole of the Curious Case of Benjamin Button…the last 45 minutes in bladder distress! I am recommending you to all my pregnant friends!
polyGeek
@Mary, We’ll be here for you from now on. No more bladder distress for you!
joni mann
is runpee available for blackberry now and will be?
thank you joni
polyGeek
@joni mann, Blackberry is on the list. I’m going to put up a signup sheet soon so that you can be notified when the app is released.
PaulLu
Can you make a website in Chinese?
你们能做一个中文版的网站吗?
The Chinese like movies, too. But in China, there is no website like this in China.
中国人也喜欢看电影。但是在中国没有像这样的网站。
I think my suggention will be helping all of movie fans in China and you will have profit in it.
我认为我的建议能帮助所有的中国影迷,而且你们也会在其中获得利润。
Paul
polyGeek
@PaulLu, I do plan on creating a version for China. I’ll email you so that we can talk about it.
ken
强烈要求做一个中文版的网站!
你们的网站很有创意,作为中国的网友,喜欢你们!I love you,love runpee!
polyGeek
@Ken, thank you very much. Yes, there will be a Chinese version. It probably won’t be ready until late this year but it will definitely happen! Can you hold it until then?
ken
现在runpee在中国很火,用英语说是 IT is very HOT! 支持你们!
D Erickson
Harry Potter Half-Blood Prince character is RON not Rob.
polyGeek
@D Erickson, Whoops, fixing it now. Thanks!
Cheryl Jones
GENIUS!!!
LegendsOfBatman
Impressive site, but, my pop-up blocker kills the entire page. I have to hold Ctrl+Alt after I start the refresh, and hope it’s quick enough to not get “popped” again.
I think that is due to how the page is formatted.
polyGeek
@LegendsOfBatman, Does your pop-up blocker kill all Flash content? Because the site doesn’t have any popups itself.
chubbychickie
Awesome idea, YAY!!! LOVE IT!!!! Thanx, DF!
KaraokeGypsy
You are now at the top of my “why didn’t I think of that?” list, right up next to Air in a Can! Brilliant! Absolutely Brilliant!
polyGeek
@KaraokeGypsy, There’s more where that came from. Just wait and see. 🙂
Susie
Bless you! Bless you! Now I can go to the movies again. I slipped out in the middle of the reader and missed the whole transition from a “romance” to the trial. Huge gap! That was enough to make me avoid movies and wait for the dvd to come out. Now I can go back to the theater.
James
This is one of the most useful websites on the entire Internet! Thanks! Now I can go to movies that are over 2 hours long again. 😀
James
Oh yeah, by the way… Your header (with the letters filling up with yellow, then the N running out…) is hysterically funny!
polyGeek
@James, thanks. That’s the only thing I didn’t create on the website. I had the idea but not the skills to create the animation. So I paid a friend who is top notch to do it for me and he hit it out of the park. He’s going to retouch it soon with some improvements.
Bob Dorrell
God Bless you! You are a GENIUS. I hope you get RICH from this.
Attention Movie Makers: Please consult RUNPEE.COM before releasing your movies.
shoo
great idea!talk about thinking outside the box, or in your case, thinking outside the stall…lol! love it, but what i know of seo, you are doing your site a dis-service by being in flash. nothing beats flash for design, but can the search bot pick you up? that may not matter however, since i dont fancy a lot of folks look for this kind of topic, lol. you must get a lot of publicity, though!
polyGeek
@shoo, you’re right there. Flash isn’t great for SEO but it’s much better. Adobe and Google have been working together to create a bot that can search into a Flash site and get the data just like a user would. And in the case of this site there is hardly any content here and none of it really makes any since. The only thing a search bot could target is the nav and the movie titles. But when it comes down to it I don’t know how to make HTML sites like this and I’m not interested in learning. HTML makes my brain hurt. 🙂
Daniel Middleman
Hi, I just wanted to tell you that I don’t like
how your entire hompage is generated in flash.
This makes it impossible to change the size of
the fonts on the page. I think this is something
that I would probably change. Thanks. Bye,
Dan
polyGeek
@Daniel Middleman, Thanks for mentioning that. I will include a change font size in RunPee2.
e
Thanks for the great site. This is really very useful to me. Here are 2 bold predictions: 1) We will see a phenomenon known as “the runpee effect,” where everyone in the theatre gets up at the same time. 2) Writers/ Editers will insert “runpee scenes” into the middle of some films. Thanks again.
polyGeek
@e, Yes, that’s been brought up many times. I even have a funny commercial that I want to shoot around that. But in reality I don’t think that is likely to happen. Even if everyone knew about RunPee there would only be a handful of people that would need to RunPee at any particular PeeTime.
Karen Mello
Congratulaltions – great idea!! I love your website and how you have the “n” leaving to go to restroom. Very talented man.
polyGeek
@Karen Mello, thank you. The congratulations for the animated “n” goes to my friend Chad Wixom who did the work for me. I’m smart enough to know that my animation skills are no where near good enough to do what Chad did.
LegendsOfBatman
@Polygeek,
Yes it does. It’s an old, but still highly functioning pop-up killer. It kills most flash ads, and, in this case, pages using Flash. It’s actually the only effective ad-killer I have seen. Unfortunately, it can’t distinguish between flash ads and flash sites. Using the white-list does not always work, due to how webpages are named. Using Ctrl+Alt does. But, ocassionally gets annoying.
(I assume there are Flash cookies being used on this site too? Unless they are sitting on a store shelf somewhere, I hate cookies).
At any rate, the page is a pretty cool idea. Just wish my body would figure out how to need to relieve itself at the appointed times. LOL.
polyGeek
@LegendsOfBatman, Yes, there are Flash cookies although I don’t really need them. It’s just there to track whether a visitor has been there before. I used to show a short video walkthrough of the site to first time visitors but not anymore. And if you are registered and want the site to log you in automatically then there’s a Flash cookie for that – technically they are called Remote SharedObjects.
I don’t think I can help you much with training your bladder to obey PeeTimes. Although there may be some Far East mind/bladder control techniques that could work for you. 🙂
Kandi Dubuque
I would LOVE to be an employee! I can assist yiou with this! Please contact me for further information!!!
polyGeek
@Kandi Dubuque, I would love to be able to afford an employee. In fact, I’d love to be able to move out of my sister’s apartment. Still waiting to make a bit of money. But we’ll talk someday, when RunPee is the go to site for all things movie related.
Nancy
That’s cool! 你是个天才!
Nancy
I think I can help you too.we chinese do need such a charming stuff!
may be you can email me
Paul
Dan – Maybe you could adapt the app with an ‘end-time’ for those who want to snatch a quick catnap in a movie. Now *that* would be useful!
polyGeek
@Paul, If you set the timer and the vibration before each PeeTime does wake you up – coming soon in an update to the app – then the last PeeTime for a movie lets you know if you need to stick around after the credits for any extra scenes. Or, you could just rely on the cleanup crew to wake you. 🙂
PaoloChicago
Also: perhaps movie theaters could do us all a favor by siting restrooms in – pardon the upcoming pun – a more convenient position. It’s such a
hike to so many of them….
The worst one is the Imax Theater on Chicago’s Navy Pier. You have to actually leave the theater and go to the public restrooms on the pier!!! Granted, most Imax films are less than an hour, but when they screened “Dark Knight” there, I had to miss a sizable chunk of a fantastic movie – LOCATED IN CHICAGO – just because of, um, pisspoor (pun very much intended) theater design. It was so bad, I came very close to peeing into a mop bucket I found in a cleaning closet!!!! Wish I’d done that now……
polyGeek
@PaoloChicago, That is pretty much a complete FAIL.
You bring up a great point in that if you expect you might need to RunPee during a movie you should know beforehand exactly where the restrooms are.
DbleT
Great site! Just read about it in the LA times and it’s even better than I thought it might be.
Tracey Kesterton
What a brilliant website – thank you, thank you, thank you!! I have just put a note on the Multiple Sclerosis website about Runpee.com – full of people that love films more than their bladders!
This website means I can start to enjoy – not endure – films again, thank you!
polyGeek
@Tracey Kesterton, I’m so glad that we can help improve your movie going experience. That really keeps me motivated as I endure watching all these movies. 🙂
Mike
You need to better target your Google Ads on the page, setup channels. Why do I want to see advertisements for Running web sites. I should be seeing ads for movies, Netflix, Hulu, etc. Not jogging web sites. You need more SEO and Meta Tags. Nice site, but if I can’t find you, who cares? If you never make any money, you won’t stay in business. I did you a solid and clicked on your ads, but it needs some help!
Dan Florio
@Mike, yep. We’re just babes in the woods here. I’ve never done much with advertising before so this is all a learning process for me. Fortunately I’m making a little change while learning which is new. Since the site is all Flash it’s hard for Google to target ads. But I’m working on that. Plus forming relationships to get specific ads for movies and such. Most of this will happen with the RunPee2 redesign.
Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any suggestions.
Greg
Since its Run P – shouldnt you have the P run across the screen rather than n???
Dan Florio
@Greg, yeah, but the “n” has legs. How is a “P” going to run? It could hop but that wouldn’t look right. 🙂
Actually, the guy who did the animation for me is going to create another one where the descender on the “P” splits and runs off. We’ll then randomly cycle through the different animations.
Kolja
Great site! Can’t wait for your European Editions in French or German. Today one of Europes largest weekly magazines has published an article about your website including a link http://www.spiegel.de/netzwelt/web/0,1518,643651,00.html. Server already running pee, eh, hot?
Dan Florio
@Kolja, me to. Translating the site to German and French is a high priority. I can’t wait.
Carole Hancey
This is just the greatest idea – kudos to the brains behind this. My friends and I, older and younger love this concept as very few of us can make it through a movie if we have a soda and popcorn without having to go to the loo. Thanks a million.
Tracy English
I listen to Jane’s show at http://www.thejaneellen.com all the time. I heard you on Monday and just had to check out your site. The is an awesome idea. I will be telling my friends about RunPee. Keep up the good work.
Rondell
Good work Jordon Palmer.
Dan Florio
@Rondell, Thanks. Jordan has done a great job promoting the site. He’s taken the idea places I never, ever, could have gone.
Richard Fenton
Saw your website on HBO’s Hard Knocks with the Cincinnati Bengals. Jordan Palmer was plugging it on the show and I decided to check it out. Great idea, I hope it continues to be successful. I think the more people know about it, the more they will enjoy it.
Matt
This might be a useful site if it could be viewed from a phone in the theater, since its not. SITE FAIL
Dan Florio
@Matt, the site is accessible from the theater – if you have the iPhone app or soon the Android or Blackberry app. The site was built with Flash because I’m a Flash developer and that’s all I know how to build. Here’s more info on why the site is in Flash: Why RunPee is Built Using Flash and Not HTML
Frank
I’m ready to buy your Android app. Where is it?
Dan Florio
I’m was told by the dev that it should be ready in about 7 days.
Joe
What happened to the Android app? I can’t find it on the market. The link on your site is broken. What happened?!
Allen
What happened to the old style chart that was accessible on the website? I don’t want an app.
Dan Florio
@Allen You’re probably best suited with using m.RunPee.com then. And you know that the big smartphone thingy in the upper-left of the website is interactive, right? You can use it to browse all the movies/peetimes.
Allen
Don’t see an interactive smartphone thingy anywhere. May be my browser or OS. Anyway, m.runpee.com works for what I need. Thanks.
John S.
I am 57 years of age and this is why I love the internet. At my age, pee breaks are necessary
Thanks!
Danny Crabtree
I really injoy runpee but more importantly I hope that Jordan Palmer will be able to compete for the starting position. I know he has a good arm I just hope he gets his chance, because he can be just as good as his brother maybe better. Pass that along to him if you could and whodey.
Lou
Hey 🙂 Loving your work, as always. I just wanted to say I think since the site changed it has become less user friendly. It isn’t even easy to find the peetimes. I use Google to seach for “runpee.com” together with the name of the movie I want to see.
Dan Florio
@Lou The peetimes are in a widget in the upper-left of every page. Do you have Flash and Javascript enabled? If you’re just looking for the peetimes it might be easiest to use m.RunPee.com as long as the movie hasn’t been out for more than 6 months or so.
Margaret Fink
Hi,
I’m from Mexico City. I study journalism at Universidad Iberoamericana, i’d like to write about your application, which we find awesome, for our technology section in our magazine (http://adredeibero.com/).
Would you be so kind to answer me a few questions?
I’d love to know who was the one to come up with the idea of making this application (who is he, what does he do for a living, where does he live) and of course how did you come up with the idea of “RunPee”.
And finally, do you have any projects for the future?
Thank you so much,
Margaret Fink
Mud Stuffin
I have not seen a way to donate to your app and your expense for going to all these movies. Is there a way to that I have not seen? As much as I use the app I would love to help the cause in some fashion.
Thanks
Dan Florio
Hi Mud Stuffin,
That is very thoughtful of you. Maybe I should add something to the app for people who would like to make donations. I suppose the easiest way is through PayPal: [email protected].
Thanks so much.
Dave T
Could you please provide Press Graphics on devices other than Apple products? This would be great for Android based websites 😉
Howell Selburn
Buttons are partially hidden on the bio screen. Thought you might wang to know. I can see why others might not like ads on the iPhone but at least they relate to the App!
polyGeek Administrator
Thanks Howell. You actually looked at the bio screen? You might be the first! 🙂
Seriously, thanks for letting me know. Could you possibly send me an email from the app? To do so just go to the Movie/Home screen and hit the menu button – upper-right. There’s an option to email me. That will automatically let me know which phone and OS you’re using so I can see what’s going on.
Personally, I’m not crazy about having the ad in the app. But it will only be there until July 10th. And I’m getting a LOT out of it. I know, I sold out, but I didn’t sell out cheap. 🙂
Ashlie Lopez
Hi,
I’m a long time reader.
I’m writing to you because I’d love to contribute a guest post to your website.
I’ve been brainstorming some topics and I think your readers would get a ton of value from them.
I’ll make sure the piece is filled with information that can’t be found anywhere else. In exchange, all i expect is a backlink from within the main body of the article.
Do let me know if you like this proposal and if I can begin sending you some topic ideas.
Sincerely,
Ashlie Lopez
Jill Florio Administrator
Hello Ashley! I’d love to brainstorm your article ideas with you! Of course we will give you backlinks in the main article, plus you get a bio blurb at the footer with whatever you wish in it. Please email me at [email protected] and we can get started. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
Edward Stevens
I saw an add on your app that revealed that Iron Man dies in the Avengers movie. I deliberately avoided social media to avoid spoilers, then just before I go to the movie, I go to your app thinking that it is a safe place. But of course no!

Dan Gardner Administrator
Hi Edward. I’m really sorry you got spoiled. I did too, but it was deliberate and unavoidable for me — job hazard.
Did you watch an ad inside the RunPee app to earn Peecoins? That’s the only place we have ads. They’re served by a company called Tapjoy and we have no control over what ads they display.
Neal Anderson
Hi! I am an infinity coin holder and love your product. I saw that there were some people who are rude to you when avengers came out and I wanted you to know that they are certainly in the vast minority .
Your product is amazing. Don’t listen to the very vocal “1%” – these bitter, loveless, wretched people that propagate comment sections on the Internet… don’t let them hijack your sense of worth or happiness. You are contributing to the enrichment of thousands of people’s lives.
Thank you so much for your efforts, and keep it up!
Dan Gardner Administrator
Hey Neal. Thanks so much for the kind words. I was really disappointed about the server going down for a few days. We lost a lot of potential new fans, but most of all I’m disappointed that we weren’t there for our longtime loyal fans who have supported us for such a long time. I have a lot of changes in store over the next year to make RunPee more reliable during events like this.
Kevin McCoy
found an error, when explaining peecoins, word should be “ever” instead it says “every”
Dan Gardner Administrator
Thanks. I fixed it. I appreciate the feedback.
