ET Sequel
There’s an E.T. sequel and it’s awesome

This 4 minute sequel to the classic movie ET is a must-watch. It’s the most tasteful example of product placement (for Xfinity) I’ve seen.  Kudos to the writers who pack a lot of story into just a few minutes.

How movies get D Grades at RunPee

The Dumb Movies – How films earn D grades at RunPee
If we were teachers, we’d say, “We know you can earn a passing grade if you tried harder.” A D is almost never worth paying a full priced ticket for, but can be worth a venture on discount nights. Don’t expect much. Or get really soused for a streaming night with friends. Not that we officially recommend that kind of thing.

Movie review: Palm Springs

New Movie Review – Palm Springs
Palm Springs is this year’s Groundhog Day film and you should see it. It’s funny, smart, deeply existential, frequently whacked, and somehow sweet. We’re lucky to have a new movie this good right now! Here’s why we recommend it.

RunPee:NX genre search

Weekly progress diary on RunPee:NX
We are rebuilding the RunPee app from scratch using Google Flutter. Here’s a brief report on our weekly progress:

Picture this: the COVID19 crisis is over and you and your date go to the movie theater to see a movie. FINALLY.

You look at the long list of movies and ask your date, “What genre of movie do you want to see?” They say, “Ummm, I feel like watching a drama.” You reply, “After COVID19, the election crisis, and that asteroid impact I’ve had enough drama. I’d like to see a comedy.”

Now the RunPee app can help with that problem as well. In the RunPee:NX app you’ll be able to search movies by genre, so you can both get what you want: a comedy/drama, or whatever floats your boat.

We’re Adding Classic Movies to the RunPee Database

Is there anything extra during the end credits of Palm Springs?

  1. Technically, that’s a Dramedy. Not that it matters. Yay for genres!

What asteroid? We have an asteroid now? Or did you just want to see if we were paying attention? 😉

  2. Just making it up… Probably… Maybe… It’s 2020. Who knows.
