The first two Paddington films set an incredibly high bar for family entertainment. They managed to capture both the whimsy of Michael Bond’s beloved character while adding layers of social commentary that resonated with adults. This third installment seems to miss that delicate balance.
I don’t remember much about the first Paddington movie other than I liked it, a lot. It was charming and enjoyable and managed to capture both the whimsy of Michael Bond’s beloved character while adding layers of social commentary that resonated with adults.. But, whatever magic they originally had does not translate into this third movie. There were a number of young children in the theater when my wife and I saw the movie. And they seemed to be engaged with the story and antics. At least Paddington still appeals to children. But there was nothing in the movie that relates to adults. At least, not for either myself or my wife.

If I could, I would give this movie two grades: B+ for children and a C- for adults.
Grade: B-
About The Peetimes: I did my best to avoid scenes with Paddington antics since that’s what kids seem to react to the most. The first and second Peetimes are both recommended. The third one isn’t bad, but not as good as the first two.

about the RunPee app.
Water drinkers unite
Run pee is the best app for people who find themselves needing to pee a lot but also not wanting to miss any action. The app gives you the best times to use the bathroom during a movie while also telling you when to leave and which lines to listen for! It not only gives you the time you should go pee, but it also explains to you what is happening during the break. I helped I use this app every time I go to the movies now. My god father recommended this app to 5 years ago and it’s been in my phone ever since! Highly recommended.

Creator and developer of the RunPee app. When something doesn’t work right in the app it’s pretty much his fault. 🙂
Aspiring author. Would like to finish his “Zombie Revelations” trilogy if he could break away for working on RunPee and the cottage he’s building for RunPee Mom.
