I Can Only Imagine was an amazing movie. It was gut wrenching, sad, happy, moving, and powerful — all at the same time. I’ve always liked the song, but now I have a deeper understanding of where it came from.
The childhood Bart went through was devastating to me, as a mother and grandmother. I cried the entire movie. My heart went out to him on so many levels that I gave up controlling my tears. His story was a sad one, but through the power of God and his beliefs, he turned his pain into something beautiful. I need time to digest the movie and the feelings that it stirred up. I can guarantee you this though: if you watch the film, it will deeply move you.
