I watched Super Troopers 3 last night and laughed the whole way through.
The dysfunction of the troopers is hands down the best group of half-wits I’ve ever watched. From the way they stand like they’ve got poles up their butts to their glorious 1980s mustaches, it’s pure comedy gold. These guys have been doing this bit together for over two decades now, and it shows — the chemistry is as sharp as ever.

This time around, the plot centers on Farva’s wildly over-the-top engagement, and Kevin Heffernan absolutely runs with it. Farva has always been the loudest, most chaotic personality of the group, and dialing that up to eleven for a wedding storyline was the right call. Watching him try to navigate his own engagement with zero chill was some of the biggest laughs of the movie. The wedding chaos gives the troopers an actual plot to hang their nonsense on this time, instead of just another day on the highway, and there’s a drug ring tangled up in the background that keeps things moving without ever taking itself too seriously.
Brian Cox is back too as Captain O’Hagan, gruff as ever, and it’s clear everyone slid right back into these roles like no time had passed.

Movie Watching Must Have!!
I go feral for this app. I love it so much and I wish everyone knew about it and used it. It is incredibly useful and I would be devastated if this app ever disappeared. Things I love: 1) the pee times! It’s so handy to know the best time to go and then read the synopsis of what’s happening while I’m gone. I never have to worry about missing the good bits! 2) knowing if there is a post-credits scene or not. This might be my fav feature because I would have missed out on some pretty critical scenes if it weren’t for RunPee. 3) the movie review and viewer rankings. This info has made me watch some movies that I normally wouldn’t and it’s nice seeing things outside of my usual scope. 4) that it’s a small family run business. I love shopping small and it really does feel like I’m part of the RunPee family! If you reach out to them, Dan will personally respond to you and he is so warm and helpful. GET THIS APP AND THEN SUBSCRIBE! It is absolutely worth it and you’ll be using it again and again!

Another favorite part was the introduction of the new Canadian electric cop car. The troopers, especially Mac, hated it from the jump, and watching that pure disdain slowly turn into the car becoming an intricate part of the cast was hilarious to watch play out. That’s a hard trick to pull off with a car, and they nailed it.
As I sat there sensing the movie was winding down, I found myself wondering how they were going to tie up all the chaos they’d built. Turns out, they didn’t fully — because a fourth installment is officially coming! The way they set up the next storyline had me on pins and needles.
They set out to make one of their rowdy, unapologetic B-movie comedies, and they nailed it.
Grade: B+

Plot
When Farva’s wildly over-the-top Indian engagement to Thorny’s sister spirals into chaos, the Super Troopers must navigate Thorny’s schemes to break up the relationship, while trying to crack a pernicious new drug ring — all to save the day and maybe the wedding itself.
RunPee.com owes RunPee Sis a huge debt of gratitude. She sees any movie needed with no complaints and has done so for ten years (even basing Thanksgiving and Christmas family festivities around the seeing films). In 2015 Sis ran the entire RunPee enterprise herself, while RunPee Dan, Jilly and Mom went traipsing off to Europe. Sis is the spider in the web holding the RunPee family together — besides being a funny, well rounded person, and a joyous pleasure to be around. Her favorite films start and end with horror (which thank goodness she’s happy to see, since most of us don’t have the stomach for it) — but also likes silly comedies, sad dramas, and musicals of all types. If you’ve used a Peetime for a scary film, you probably have RunPee Sis to thank for it.
Favorite movie genre: Horror, horror, and more horror. The more disturbing, the better. Period.
