Movie Review – Pig

Pig was a surprising gem of a movie. It’s most definitely not what I thought it was going to be. Pig was so thought-provoking that almost twenty-four hours after seeing it, I’m still having epiphanies.

Plot (Spoilers)
A truffle hunter who lives alone in the Oregonian wilderness must return to his past in Portland in search of his beloved foraging pig after she is kidnapped.

The movie doesn’t follow your normal timeline and introductions. You are given little pieces of a story that has already started. Basically, you come in and the movie has already played for an hour. Let me try to explain. You are not given a back story. There are a lot of places you need to fill in the missing information. The whole movie is a metaphor. You get out of it what you put into it. I liked that aspect; it was a fresh approach that left us all scratching our heads.

Pig isn’t for everyone. If you’re just wanting to sit back and be entertained with no real thoughts needed, don’t see Pig. It makes you think hardcore; you’ll be searching for the meaning just like the pig searching out morels.

Grade: B-

About The Peetimes: This was a very short film. I only submitted 1 Peetime because after seeing the movie, any Peetimes that are past the one I’ve done have you missing way too much character development and storyline. This movie has a certain flow that can’t be missed.

Must have app if you love the movies

If you’re like me and enjoy a 92oz soda as part of the movie experience, you’ll be thankful for this app telling you the best times to go for a quick break. Whether that’s to refill your soda or recycle it.

Possibly an even better feature is the info on if the movie has after credits scenes. There’s nothing worse than sitting there reading about who the key grip was, then finding out that’s all you did. I blame Marvel for the stupid trend.

Seriously, I see a dozen movies a month and use this app every single time. Worth every Penny of the infinity coin thing I bought.
