Movie Review – PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie

PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie_hero

PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie had me grinning ear to ear from the start, rooting for the pups the whole way through. Every member of the crew is enchanting in their own way, but Marshall stole the show for me this time — alongside Rex, a dog who’s been stranded alone on a dinosaur-filled island for years and has become a total dino expert out of necessity. He teams up with the pups once they crash-land there, and the two of them together were an absolute delight to watch.

One of the sweetest additions is a pup dealing with a disability, handled with real care rather than as an afterthought. It’s woven into the story instead of treated like a lesson plan, which makes it land better. The film doesn’t shy away from bigger themes either — underneath the rescues, there’s a quiet message about what happens when you exploit nature for personal gain, something even the youngest viewers can pick up on without it ever feeling heavy.

The lessons throughout — never give up, keep trying even when you fail — come through clearly without ever talking down to its audience. That’s a tough balance for a kids’ movie to strike, and this one does it well.

I highly recommend it for a family night out.

Brilliant idea with great information

I’ve been using RunPee for a few years now and it’s basically a requirement of going to the movies for me. The best part of course are the “pee times” that give you cues, synopses and times for when you can pee without missing the most important parts of the movie. There is also information about the credits- length, extras and if there are any extra scenes at the wayyy end. Super helpful to just know that it is or isn’t worth staying. There is a timer function that will buzz your phone when it’s a good time to pee. I also appreciate that the app is very conscientious about it being an app you use in a theater- dark background, all silent alarms etc. I will always enjoy the experience of the theater even if I could watch things at home- but I’ve even used it at home to check for things like after credit scenes or other information too.
