Oh my God, I loved it. From the very first scene I knew I was in for something great — and Over Your Dead Body delivered from start to finish.
Director Jorma Taccone — one-third of The Lonely Island comedy trio behind MacGruber and Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping — makes a wild pivot into dark thriller territory here, and it works. His comedy instincts are baked into every scene, even the brutal ones. There is anger, violence, love, hate, and heart all wrapped up in this film. What’s impressive is how seamlessly it balances all of that — the comedy never undercuts the tension, and the darker moments never kill the fun. It’s a tightrope walk that most movies don’t pull off, and this one sticks the landing.

Jason Segel and Samara Weaving as Dan and Lisa acted this to perfection. If you know Samara Weaving from Ready or Not, just know she’s found her lane and she owns it. The supporting cast was the icing on the cake. Timothy Olyphant and Juliette Lewis were outrageous — they absolutely nailed it. If you know Olyphant from Justified, you already know he was born to play a character like this. He’s got that effortless dangerous-funny thing down cold. And Juliette Lewis is unhinged in the best possible way — she’s been playing wildly unpredictable women since Cape Fear and she hasn’t lost a step.
And let’s not forget Dan’s dad — Paul Guilfoyle plays the role in a way you absolutely won’t see coming. He was a scene-stealer. The action sequences are something else — brutal, funny, and wildly choreographed. There are some massive gore and kill shots that will have you covering your eyes one second and laughing the next. It’s rated R for a reason, so consider yourself warned. Turns out the stunt team behind John Wick and Bullet Train was involved, and it absolutely shows.

This app is the best wingman for a movie goer, especially when you have to go. It even has a vibrating timer that is spot on for those 'go times' some of us need! There are many other features that are wonderful. It even lets you know when the kill scenes are coming up for the people and animals for those who may have sensitivities to that type of content. The staff go above and beyond!

Plot
A dysfunctional couple head to a remote cabin to “reconnect”, but each has secret intentions to kill the other.
RunPee.com owes RunPee Sis a huge debt of gratitude. She sees any movie needed with no complaints and has done so for ten years (even basing Thanksgiving and Christmas family festivities around the seeing films). In 2015 Sis ran the entire RunPee enterprise herself, while RunPee Dan, Jilly and Mom went traipsing off to Europe. Sis is the spider in the web holding the RunPee family together — besides being a funny, well rounded person, and a joyous pleasure to be around. Her favorite films start and end with horror (which thank goodness she’s happy to see, since most of us don’t have the stomach for it) — but also likes silly comedies, sad dramas, and musicals of all types. If you’ve used a Peetime for a scary film, you probably have RunPee Sis to thank for it.
Favorite movie genre: Horror, horror, and more horror. The more disturbing, the better. Period.
