This is the kind of uplifting, heartfelt biography we don’t see nearly enough anymore.
I Swear follows John Davidson, a kid growing up with Tourette’s Syndrome in mid-1980s Scotland — back when almost no one understood what it was. His tics and sudden outbursts (often curse words) shocked people around him and made life incredibly tough. The movie tracks him from childhood into adulthood as he learns to live with it and eventually push through.

What makes it so good is how genuinely joyful and moving it feels to watch. Robert Aramayo, who plays John, is an absolute revelation. You can tell he studied the real John’s mannerisms and movements like crazy — it’s that committed. No surprise he walked away with the BAFTA for Best Actor.
A lot of biopics like this can feel cheesy or overly dramatic, but this one never does. It stays honest, grounded, and real the whole way through. If you’re looking for an inspiring true story done right, I Swear is definitely worth watching.

Must have app if you love the movies
If you’re like me and enjoy a 92oz soda as part of the movie experience, you’ll be thankful for this app telling you the best times to go for a quick break. Whether that’s to refill your soda or recycle it.
Possibly an even better feature is the info on if the movie has after credits scenes. There’s nothing worse than sitting there reading about who the key grip was, then finding out that’s all you did. I blame Marvel for the stupid trend.
Seriously, I see a dozen movies a month and use this app every single time. Worth every Penny of the infinity coin thing I bought.
