Despite the fact that I hate myself for laughing at anything during a Will Ferrell movie, I was unable to contain myself – a few times.
Most of the movie was rather forgettable. The humor was embarrassing, or most of the time, just not funny. However, I loved the “last battle” scene. That alone almost made it worth going to see, almost.

The social commentary, about the state of journalism in America, was well done and added a layer of depth to the movie. Not that it was any deeper than a teaspoon of water, but it’s better than nothing.
The best I can say is if you’re a Will Ferrell/Anchorman fan then I’m sure you’ll love the sequel. And, if you’re trying to drag someone to see it with you, who isn’t a fan, then you can tell them I said they probably won’t hate it as much as they think they will.
