I think the thing I like the most about this movie is that it didn’t try to be something it isn’t. The story doesn’t swing for the fences. It does a good job of going from moment to moment, scene to scene. We see a character evolve.

That’s the other great thing to enjoy about this movie. The main character evolves from a normal, hard-working guy into a killer, but at each stage, it seems plausible. That’s good character building.

Glen Powell is really stepping up his game, one movie at a time. I listened to him in an interview, and he said that when Top Gun: Maverick came up, he auditioned for the role of Rooster but didn’t get it. Which was a huge disappointment for him because he really wanted to work with Tom Cruise. Then, Tom Cruise calls him up and says they would like him for the role of Hangman. Glen said he wasn’t enthusiastic about that role because it wasn’t big enough, or something like that. Tom Cruise told him, “You don’t take big roles. You make big roles.” Glen said it’s the best advice anyone ever gave him. People helping people.

I’m not sure this is a must-see in theaters. But if you’re out and about, and just want to relax in a theater and enjoy a good, but not great, movie. Then by all means, I’m confident that you won’t be disappointed.

RunPee is an excellent app that has all the info you need when going to the movies. Whenever I go to a movie, I open up the app and know when the best time to dip to the bathroom is. They have pee times for movies just a few hours after their release and it shows the dedication the team has for the service. Definitely recommend for any movie-goer.
