I really liked this movie. Earlier, I was so bummed when I was told this was my movie for the week. I begrudgingly said yes, and stewed about it for days.
The movie started and I was literally glued to the screen. I’m not into action at all, but this movie had enough substance that I was hooked from the beginning. Bruce Willis was awesome. There was never a dull moment, and let me tell you this, you will root for him like crazy.
The only reason I’m giving it a B+ instead of an A+ is there was one tiny plot hole that is still kind of boggling my brain. I won’t say what it is because it would ruin some other points for you. It’s not a big deal, but I’m one of those OCD people; the smallest things bother me terribly.

I would recommend this movie. It’s a story where you root for the hero/victim and applaud when he pulls off some cool stuff, and boo when the bad guys are on screen. Our theater was full, and for quite a few moments there was laughter and yelling. It was a fun night at the movies.
Grade: B+

This app provides info about movies, reviews, ratings from people who have seen it before and after viewing. It has links to info about the movies. It let's you know when there will be a lull in the action and how long it will last. If you want to know what happens during that time, you can check the brief synopsis (you have to click a link, so no accidental spoilers). It has a timer you can set (silent) to alert you to a break. It also tells you whether there is anything extra during or after the credits. It's really a wonderful app. I've subscribed for a couple of years to support the developers, but I noticed some of the links to provide feedback didn't seem to work today. They also made it free, with voluntary donations to see the pee-times. If you haven't tried it, I encourage you to do so, and subscribe if you like it. I really hope the app is supported so it can continue to be maintained!

RunPee.com owes RunPee Sis a huge debt of gratitude. She sees any movie needed with no complaints and has done so for ten years (even basing Thanksgiving and Christmas family festivities around the seeing films). In 2015 Sis ran the entire RunPee enterprise herself, while RunPee Dan, Jilly and Mom went traipsing off to Europe. Sis is the spider in the web holding the RunPee family together — besides being a funny, well rounded person, and a joyous pleasure to be around. Her favorite films start and end with horror (which thank goodness she’s happy to see, since most of us don’t have the stomach for it) — but also likes silly comedies, sad dramas, and musicals of all types. If you’ve used a Peetime for a scary film, you probably have RunPee Sis to thank for it.
Favorite movie genre: Horror, horror, and more horror. The more disturbing, the better. Period.
We own a movie theater (and a small one 4 screens so we often have to decide between movies). PG family movies do the best for us, and yes R does the worst. If we are deciding between 2 horror movies for instance, we almost always will go with the PG-13 one. But A LOT of movies fall in that Pg-13 rating. From something like Ant-Man which was fairly benign to something like Insidious which was NOT benign at all. It is hard to get a PG rating nowadays, and most movies don”t want to be there unless they are marketed to kids. 🙂
Those are fascinating insights! I bet there’s a whole unknown universe of things that go on in movie theaters…
BTW, I really did like Ant Man…it was light and fun, which is what I need mostly when I go to the theater.
PG-13 is about right for a lot of movies. An R rating can be intense, or barely R. Too wide a spread. I’d like to see a new rating, like R-13 or something.
