Studio Ghibli, this ain’t.
There are definite comparisons to those Japanese films – lots of color, unique characters, whimsical set pieces – but man, this just didn’t work for me.

This French film about a boy from the future who wants to be able to fly like his family, and the girl that he meets in another time is nominated for Best Animated Feature this year. It has some different flavor from the standard Pixar and Disney nominees like Elio and Zootopia 2, and it definitely has an international flair, although it has been dubbed in English by such talents as Natalie Portman, Will Ferrell, and Flea (?!).
There are some interesting setpieces and ideas in this film, but I dunno – it didn’t capture me. Even with its short runtime, I was ready for it to end.

Water drinkers unite
Run pee is the best app for people who find themselves needing to pee a lot but also not wanting to miss any action. The app gives you the best times to use the bathroom during a movie while also telling you when to leave and which lines to listen for! It not only gives you the time you should go pee, but it also explains to you what is happening during the break. I helped I use this app every time I go to the movies now. My god father recommended this app to 5 years ago and it’s been in my phone ever since! Highly recommended.
