The new Anaconda reboot delivers exactly what it promises: a quick, undemanding comedy that’s perfect for escaping the holiday chaos. Clocking in at a brisk runtime, the film pairs Jack Black and Paul Rudd in a creature feature that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
The humor lands more often than not, with Black and Rudd playing well off each other’s comedic strengths. The script wisely peppers in nods to the 1997 original without overdoing the nostalgia, striking a balance that fans of the first film will appreciate without alienating newcomers. There are some enjoyable surprise cameos that add to the fun.

That said, this is lightweight entertainment through and through. The short runtime means character development and plot depth take a backseat to jokes and set pieces. If you’re seeking substance, look elsewhere. But if you need a few laughs and a mental break during the holiday week, this anaconda is worth the bite.
Final Verdict: A perfectly adequate comedy that knows what it is. Worth a watch if you’re looking for something easy and entertaining.

about the RunPee app.
Movie Watching Must Have!!
I go feral for this app. I love it so much and I wish everyone knew about it and used it. It is incredibly useful and I would be devastated if this app ever disappeared. Things I love: 1) the pee times! It’s so handy to know the best time to go and then read the synopsis of what’s happening while I’m gone. I never have to worry about missing the good bits! 2) knowing if there is a post-credits scene or not. This might be my fav feature because I would have missed out on some pretty critical scenes if it weren’t for RunPee. 3) the movie review and viewer rankings. This info has made me watch some movies that I normally wouldn’t and it’s nice seeing things outside of my usual scope. 4) that it’s a small family run business. I love shopping small and it really does feel like I’m part of the RunPee family! If you reach out to them, Dan will personally respond to you and he is so warm and helpful. GET THIS APP AND THEN SUBSCRIBE! It is absolutely worth it and you’ll be using it again and again!

Plot
A group of friends facing mid-life crises head to the rainforest with the intention of remaking their favorite movie from their youth, only to find themselves in a fight for their lives against natural disasters, giant snakes and violent criminals.
RunPee.com owes RunPee Sis a huge debt of gratitude. She sees any movie needed with no complaints and has done so for ten years (even basing Thanksgiving and Christmas family festivities around the seeing films). In 2015 Sis ran the entire RunPee enterprise herself, while RunPee Dan, Jilly and Mom went traipsing off to Europe. Sis is the spider in the web holding the RunPee family together — besides being a funny, well rounded person, and a joyous pleasure to be around. Her favorite films start and end with horror (which thank goodness she’s happy to see, since most of us don’t have the stomach for it) — but also likes silly comedies, sad dramas, and musicals of all types. If you’ve used a Peetime for a scary film, you probably have RunPee Sis to thank for it.
Favorite movie genre: Horror, horror, and more horror. The more disturbing, the better. Period.
