RunPee MCU TV Hub

Nobody doubts the effect that the MCU had on the world of blockbuster films. Especially the superhero/comic book/fantasy sub-genre. What was not quite so expected was the studio’s breakthrough into TV.  With the assistance of the newly launched Disney+ service, the MCU had a conduit to the home based, TV watching audience. Well, I say with the assistance of Disney+ but they had dipped a toe in the water with, to my untutored eye, lesser known characters via the Netflix service.

These were all brought under the aegis of Disney when the Netflix license expired. The MCU, being the MCU, amalgamated the later TV productions into the Phases established way back in 2008 with the first Iron Man film. They start after the Infinity War cycle and are, without too much hyperbole, the backbone of the Multiverse Cycle which we will be glued to until, according to the current timeline, until 2026. However, I’m sure Kevin Feige will be juggling with ideas that will take us well into the next decade!

So, without further ado, let’s see what we have so far!

2013 – 2020 – Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Spinoff series following Agent Coulson as he establishes S.H.I.E.L.D., recruits other agents, and battles Hydra.

2015 – 2016 – Agent Carter

Spinoff series centred on Agent Peggy Carter’s struggles in post war USA fighting against Hydra and sexism.

2015 – 2018 – Daredevil

Lawyer by day, crime fighter by night, blind all the time! Matt Murdock was blinded in a chemical spill, But those same chemicals enhanced his other senses…

Now here’s different…Jessica Jones was a superhero but tragic circumstances meant she had to start a life as a private investigator.

2016 – 2018 – Luke Cage

When a sabotaged experiment gives him super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive attempting to rebuild his life in Harlem.

2017 – 2018 – Iron Fist

After being presumed dead for 15 years, Danny Rand, a billionaire Buddhist monk and martial artist, returns to New York City to reclaim his family company.

Set within the Daredevil, and Iron Fist timelines, the vigilantes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist team up to fight a common enemy, the Hand.

After a military coup, the Inhuman Royal Fam ily escape to Hawaii, where they must save themselves and the world.

2017 – 2019 – The Punisher

After exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his family, we find The Punisher uncovering a larger conspiracy beyond what was done to him.

A young adult series about teenagers taking on their criminal parents.

2018 – 2019 – Cloak & Dagger

Another young adult series about teenagers who gain powers following and accident.

2020 – 2020 – Helstrom

Daimon and Ana Helstrom, the children of a serial killer, hunt the worst of humanity.

2021 – 2021 – WandaVision

MCU jumps into the TV world with a series about Wanda’s descent into madness and the introduction of the delicious Agatha Harkness

2021 – 2021 – The Falcon And The Winter Soldier

The original Super Soldier Serum that led to the creation of Captain America gets copied and used by a group who believe life was better during the Blip.

2021 – TBA  – Loki

A spinoff for Loki which explains that concept of the Multiverse and sets us up properly for the second MCU Saga. Picked up for a second season

2021 – TBA  – What If…?

A fully animated series exploring alternative realities if one small change was made and where it would lead.

2021 – 2021 – Hawkeye

Clint Barton meets Kate Bishop and they team up to shoot arrows at bad people. One amongst those is Echo, leader of the Tracksuit Mafia!

2022 – 2022 – Moon Knight

Jennifer Walters has a complicated life as a single attorney in her 30s who also becomes the 2 metre tall, green, superhero She-Hulk.
