I was hoping for something magical but this movie didn’t get there for me. I know I’m not the target audience, but still, I like stories that depict magical worlds beyond our own. That isn’t to say that young children won’t adore this movie. There were a few families in the theater with me and the kids all seemed engaged and animated at times.
What seems to be missing for me is the mystery that the memorable movies in this genre are able to explore. I’m thinking of movies like A Monster Calls and Coraline. I don’t feel like The Magic Faraway Tree will be joining that company.

Love love love this app. And, after receiving an email from Dan (the creator) that read as though it was a one-on-one communication sent only to me, I felt compelled to leave a long-overdue review. My son and I are absolutely addicted to this app...especially since I discovered it at the onset of the Marvel craze. Now we use it to confirm if there is a scene following the credits. Often times, we are the ONLY ones there watching the bonus scene...and it cracks us up. LOL! Thanks, RunPee!

Creator and developer of the RunPee app. When something doesn’t work right in the app it’s pretty much his fault. 🙂
Aspiring author. Would like to finish his “Zombie Revelations” trilogy if he could break away for working on RunPee and the cottage he’s building for RunPee Mom.
