Movie Review – The Lodge

The LodgeI found this movie boring. It never reached the level I was expecting.

Nothing stands out as appealing. The acting was passable at best. I can find way more things that annoyed me than things that entertained me.

There is nothing special to see here. It was dreary, and the way they used the sound effects were jarring. At one point the noises went on for so long that I covered my ears. It was a horrible sound. The more I think about it, the more I don’t like it.

I always try to find something positive to say about a bad movie. The only thing I can come up with is living in Florida, I don’t see snow. In The Lodge, I saw a lot of snow and it reminded me why I moved to Florida.

Two frozen thumbs down.

Grade: D+

About The Peetimes: There are 2 great Peetimes to choose from. The movie is easy to follow so you shouldn’t be lost after returning from either Peetime.

There are no extra scenes during, or after, the end credits of The Lodge. (What we mean by Anything Extra.)

Rated (R) for disturbing violence, some bloody images, language and brief nudity
Genres: Drama, Horror, Thriller
