I can’t recommend seeing Honest Thief; not even on DVD/streaming someday; it offers nothing to the genre worth sitting through.
The story is painfully predictable. The characters are cardboard. The acting is uninspired. I can’t fault the actors. There’s not much they could do with this plot and dialog.

Here’s an example of how predictable, and unrealistic, the characters behave. In the climatic scene the bad guy finds out that Liam Neeson’s character planted a pressure sensitive home made bomb under his driver’s seat. If he gets out of the seat, the bomb will go off. Predictably, the bad guy sits nervously and waits for the bomb disposal unit to arrive and save him, and then gets arrested. All the while he has three million dollars in the back seat.
What’s totally unrealistic: all movie long Neeson’s character has been made out to be the good guy who does the right thing. A realistic ending would be for the bad guy to call his bluff on the explosive. There’s no way Liam would put the bomb disposal personnel at risk. It was obviously going to be a dud. But the bad guy never questions it.
If you’re desperate for your Liam Neeson fix, just pick from any number of his previous movies and skip this one.
Grade: D
About The Peetimes: I would recommend the 2nd Peetime. There’s no action or plot development and the synopsis is really short. This movie is pretty short, only an hour and a half, not counting the credits.
There are no extra scenes during, or after, the end credits of Honest Thief. (What we mean by Anything Extra.)

What people are saying about the RunPee app.
Single best investment
By and far best investment Ive made. I used to drive my husband nuts because Id be a fidgeting mess the last half hour of the movie trying not to miss important parts. Now I just turn this app on and *bam* I can actually focus on the movie the whole time. Even puts alerts to my watch so even better. Also I can guarentee all the 5 reviews arent fake as one person accused – its just that so many of us movie-goers had the same problem and this fixed it. Yes, it is paid but jeeze its expensive to keep watching movies and updating an app for every movie. And if you read more about the creator he mentions he has several people contributing – so yeah its paid but omg worth every cent. 10/10
Developers note: the RunPee app is now, and always will be, 100% free. Donations are optional.

Creator and developer of the RunPee app. When something doesn’t work right in the app it’s pretty much his fault. ๐
Aspiring author. Would like to finish his “Zombie Revelations” trilogy if he could break away for working on RunPee and the cottage he’s building for RunPee Mom.

This reminds me of The Commuter, with Liam too, but was at least a letter grade higher. The Commuter was an okay, decent movie that I totally forgot the plot of when I got home. Utterly forgettable, but not aggressively bad. Just aggressively pedestrian.

I’m trying to think of the last time I liked Ol’ Liam, and I’m thinking…Love, Actually? And his Jedi, Qui Gon Jinn. But those are ensemble roles (and long ago). I don’t think this man should be tapped for leading action roles. He should not even be a choice for them. It’s not his age — look at Harrison Ford and Sean Connery.
Does Liam Neeson have a strong female fandom or something, does he see himself as an Action Hero and seeks these roles, or does he just work cheap? I don’t mean to disparage him, but I don’t understand some of his recent movie choices. He’s going to be on the C lists if he keeps on this path.
Am I totally off base here?

Agreed. I’m not sure why he keeps attaching himself to these low rent movies. He’s better than that.
