Jesus Revolution is smart, uplifting and has a great soundtrack. The movie doesn’t preach to the audience, instead it offers an opportunity to set back and enjoy watching the lives of some interesting people unfold.
Jonathen Roumie nailed his role as Lonnie Frisbee, the kind and gentle soul that kicks off the revolution. Many of his scenes were almost hypnotic, especially when you see him look into the eyes of those in pain and offer them love and understanding. He was the heart of this movie.

I believe that Kelsey Grammer gave the performance of his career. Perhaps because at one time in his personal life he experienced a loss of faith after the death of his 18 year old sister in 1975. Only after years of drug and alcohol addiction he now has a renewed faith in his religion.
I found Jesus Revolution to be a soft and comfortable movie. The acting and directing was excellent as was the pacing. I can find nothing negative to say about this movie. It has broad appeal, so even if you haven’t set foot in a church in a while, you’ll find something that will move you.
Grade: A
