I don’t think this should have been a movie. It would have been a better TV show. Come to think of it; it reminds me a lot of an episode from the X-Files—Pusher, season 3, episode 17. If you watch the extra scene in the credits, then it’s not too late. It might still be a TV show.
The story has an interesting, although unoriginal, premise. And the pacing is really tight. This movie moves along rapidly, but it doesn’t feel disjointed. It pretty much follows the story of one character so it’s easy to keep track of things even though it’s impossible to know exactly what’s real and what isn’t. I’m sorry; vagueness is unavoidable since I don’t want to spoil anything major.

Ultimately, I would recommend waiting for this movie to stream. I’m sure it won’t be long in the theaters.
Grade: C-
About The Peetimes: This is a short movie, but I managed to find 3 Peetimes. If you can make it, I recommend the 3rd Peetime. It’s a long montage of scenes you have already seen, just from another point of view.
There are extra scenes during, or after, the end credits of Hypnotic.
