Horizon: An American Saga-Chapter 1 was a solid start to what will become a four part film series. Kevin Costner sure does love his western movies. I was reading an article about the movie and found out that he invested $38 million dollars of his own money. When the film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival he received a 10 minute standing ovation which moved him to tears. That’s pretty cool.
Trying to review and give this movie a grade is complicated. I knew going in that I needed to keep an open mind, I know there will need to be introductions and the base of the story outlined, also we’ll be introduced to a ton of characters. They did a great job there, we were thrown a ton of stuff but they kept the pace up enough to intrigue you into coming back again and again and again.

I’m excited for the next three. I’m wondering where it will lead and how it will wrap up. Stay tuned because the second installment is set for an August 16th 2024 premier.
Grade: B+
About The Peetimes: There are 3 Peetimes for you to pick from. I don’t recommend the final Peetime, I only stuck that one in for an emergency.
What people are saying
about the RunPee app.
This is a great app. I wish more people would support it
This app provides info about movies, reviews, ratings from people who have seen it before and after viewing. It has links to info about the movies. It let's you know when there will be a lull in the action and how long it will last. If you want to know what happens during that time, you can check the brief synopsis (you have to click a link, so no accidental spoilers). It has a timer you can set (silent) to alert you to a break. It also tells you whether there is anything extra during or after the credits. It's really a wonderful app. I've subscribed for a couple of years to support the developers, but I noticed some of the links to provide feedback didn't seem to work today. They also made it free, with voluntary donations to see the pee-times. If you haven't tried it, I encourage you to do so, and subscribe if you like it. I really hope the app is supported so it can continue to be maintained!
Developers note: RunPee doesn't make much money but it supports itself nicely. Donations are appreciated, but not required. We'll add as many movies to the database as we can until there are no more movie theaters.

RunPee.com owes RunPee Sis a huge debt of gratitude. She sees any movie needed with no complaints and has done so for ten years (even basing Thanksgiving and Christmas family festivities around the seeing films). In 2015 Sis ran the entire RunPee enterprise herself, while RunPee Dan, Jilly and Mom went traipsing off to Europe. Sis is the spider in the web holding the RunPee family together — besides being a funny, well rounded person, and a joyous pleasure to be around. Her favorite films start and end with horror (which thank goodness she’s happy to see, since most of us don’t have the stomach for it) — but also likes silly comedies, sad dramas, and musicals of all types. If you’ve used a Peetime for a scary film, you probably have RunPee Sis to thank for it.
Favorite movie genre: Horror, horror, and more horror. The more disturbing, the better. Period.

The pee times aren’t actually listed
Hi Tony. The Peetimes were added on Thursday evening. If you don’t see them then please contact [email protected] and I’ll help you sort it out.
As a person on parole, I’m not aloud to watch any movie that show frontal nudity. Your app is great, but the movie synopsis doesn’t describe the scenes that have the nudity in them. Thanks!
Hi Will. We get our data from IMDb and RottenTomatoes. So we know what they know. We could try to add details like “frontal nudity” after we watch the movie, but honestly, we’re focused on getting Peetimes and I don’t think we could do it reliably. But we’ll do our best.
