Watching a cute rom-com on a date is classic. But what if you’re already sick and tired of all those “Pretty Women” and “The Notebook” kinds of movies? We suggest giving a horror movie a try. If the girl you date doesn’t mind or even loves this genre, it could be a lot of fun to watch something blood-chilling together. Imagine her pulling closer to you as some scary scene with monsters or ghosts starts. How romantic is that!

Are Horror Movies a Good Date Idea?
In general, yes, many Slavic women like it when their men pick horrors to watch together. Of course, the movie should be really good, but that’s something you don’t have to worry about after trying our cherry-picked options to watch.
Why do couples decide to watch spine-chillers? Firstly, it offers an unusual way to spend an evening. At some point, the early stages of dating might feel too sweet and romantic, so adding a touch of a different flavor can be especially nice. Secondly, horrors often feature more exciting and unpredictable plots than romantic comedies or dramas. You never know what to expect, which makes the whole experience of a movie night with your Slavic woman unforgettable. So, it is safe to say that watching a horror movie with your romantic partner is definitely a safe idea.
What is a Good Scary Movie for Date Night?
For a scary movie for a date night with Slavic girls, classics with suspenseful storylines or recent thrillers could be great choices. So, we’ve picked a few of each type to make it easier for you to choose what you both would probably like.
1. The silence of the lambs (1991)
We truly believe that this is one of the best horror movies on Netflix. Despite so many new ones, nothing can beat the story of the man who was arrested for cannibalism and managed to escape prison. You literally can’t look away from the screen the whole time. The movie does not just show scary stuff but makes you feel a million different things, from sympathy to admiration.
2. Misery (1990)
A list of the best horror movies would never be complete without at least one based on Stephen King’s book. “Misery” is about Paul Sheldon, a famous writer, who gets saved by Annie Wilkes after a car crash. The woman says she’s his number-one fan. However, staying at her place to get better turns into a scary ordeal for the writer.
If you are all about Slavic women dating, suggest watching “Misery” together to have a fantastic movie night. You’re going to have an amazing time, as this spine-tingler is a must-watch for every horror fan.
What people are saying
about the RunPee app.
Brilliant idea with great information
I’ve been using RunPee for a few years now and it’s basically a requirement of going to the movies for me. The best part of course are the “pee times” that give you cues, synopses and times for when you can pee without missing the most important parts of the movie. There is also information about the credits- length, extras and if there are any extra scenes at the wayyy end. Super helpful to just know that it is or isn’t worth staying. There is a timer function that will buzz your phone when it’s a good time to pee. I also appreciate that the app is very conscientious about it being an app you use in a theater- dark background, all silent alarms etc. I will always enjoy the experience of the theater even if I could watch things at home- but I’ve even used it at home to check for things like after credit scenes or other information too.

3. In a violent nature (Expected in 2024)
Looking for new horror movies coming out? This one has one of the highest ratings among the upcoming terror tales. After a locket is taken from a collapsed fire tower, Johnny’s corpse, haunted by a crime from 60 years ago, comes back to life. He wants his locket back and hunts down the teens who took it, killing them and anyone else in his path. The trailer looks promising, with an immersive atmosphere and believable characters. Give it a try once it’s out in cinemas!
4. The Conjuring (2013)
In 1970, two people who investigate ghosts and demons, Lorraine and Ed Warren, go to the home of Carolyn and Roger Perron. The Perrons and their five daughters have just moved into a farmhouse in a quiet area, but quite a lot of strange things are happening there. At first, the weird things are not very scary, but they become more and more terrifying, especially when the Warrens discover the house’s horrible history.
If you’ve seen “Annabelle” or other movies from The Conjuring series, some of the actors in this scary movie might look familiar to you. Not everyone knows that there are three Conjuring movies, three Annabelle movies, The Nun and The Nun 2, and The Curse of La Llorna. Make sure you watch them in the right order to have the full experience.
5. A Quiet Place (2018)
This is the perfect movie for those who often wonder, “What if…” What if scary monsters started attacking the planet, but they were blind and could only find you following the sounds you make? Watch together with your Slavic woman the characters as they look for ways to live as quietly as possible and overcome the various challenges the frightening features pose to them. By the way, if you both like the movie, there are two more parts for you to discover.
6. Don’t open the door (2024)
In a cold, lonely forest on a snowy mountain, researchers get attacked by someone they don’t know. Only one of them, a young biologist, survives and finds shelter in a strange man’s cabin deep in the woods. Once the introduction is over, you’ll feel great tension in nearly every scene of the horror. “Don’t open the door” is the kind of movie that makes you check whether there’s a monster under your bed before going to sleep. That’s why it’s a perfect choice for watching together with your Slavic girl, knowing that you’re not going to stay alone after the last scene is over.
7. Gothika (2023)
Are you and your girlfriend into movies with plot twists? Check out this blood-curdling film starring Halle Berry. A psychologist wakes up in the same mental hospital where she works, but now she’s a patient. She can’t remember a thing about committing a murder, and she tries hard to prove her innocence. All this while dealing with a vengeful spirit that’s possessing her. The ending will make you rethink the entire movie from the beginning and love it even more.
