Analysis: May 2018 was the first time RunPee crossed 50,000 views in a single month. Avengers: Infinity War and Deadpool 2 arrived just days apart, creating a one-two punch that accounted for over 32,000 views combined. Solo: A Star Wars Story added another 7,400 on top. It was the kind of month where the sheer density of blockbusters pushed every metric higher.

Analysis: This is RunPee’s biggest month ever, and it’s not close. The “Barbenheimer” phenomenon — Oppenheimer and Barbie releasing on the same day — drove 158,000 views by themselves. That’s more views from two movies in one month than some entire years. Add in Mission: Impossible, Indiana Jones, and Spider-Verse, and you had five movies that each would have been the top draw in any normal month all competing at once. July 2023 had more RunPee traffic than all of 2019.

Analysis: Dune: Part Two was a monster. It accounted for 61% of all RunPee views that month — 38,325 out of 62,953. The drop-off to second place (Ghostbusters at 3,708) tells you everything: this was a one-movie month. When a single film dominates that completely, it shows just how much RunPee’s traffic depends on the big tentpoles. Without Dune 2, this would have been a quiet March.

Analysis: July 2024 is what a healthy month looks like. Instead of one movie doing all the heavy lifting, five films each pulled strong numbers. Deadpool & Wolverine led with 16,679 views, but Twisters, Longlegs, Despicable Me 4, and A Quiet Place: Day One all contributed meaningfully. This kind of distribution — multiple movies drawing audiences — is more sustainable than relying on a single blockbuster to carry the month.

Analysis: Wicked was the clear draw, capturing 37% of all views. Gladiator II added a solid 6,191 — proof that releasing two big movies in the same window benefits everyone. The long tail of mid-tier films (Heretic, Red One, Venom) filled in the rest. November is traditionally a strong month for moviegoing, and 2024 delivered.

This is a great app. I wish more people would support it
This app provides info about movies, reviews, ratings from people who have seen it before and after viewing. It has links to info about the movies. It let's you know when there will be a lull in the action and how long it will last. If you want to know what happens during that time, you can check the brief synopsis (you have to click a link, so no accidental spoilers). It has a timer you can set (silent) to alert you to a break. It also tells you whether there is anything extra during or after the credits. It's really a wonderful app. I've subscribed for a couple of years to support the developers, but I noticed some of the links to provide feedback didn't seem to work today. They also made it free, with voluntary donations to see the pee-times. If you haven't tried it, I encourage you to do so, and subscribe if you like it. I really hope the app is supported so it can continue to be maintained!
Developers note: RunPee doesn't make much money but it supports itself nicely. Donations are appreciated, but not required. We'll add as many movies to the database as we can until there are no more movie theaters.

This was the second-highest July on record (behind only Barbenheimer), and it got there without any single cultural phenomenon — just four strong movies all showing up at the same time.

Analysis: Avatar: Fire and Ash anchored the holiday season with 16,597 views — strong, though well below the first Avatar’s cultural dominance. What kept December healthy was the supporting cast: Wicked: For Good, Marty Supreme, Zootopia 2, and FNAF 2 each contributed around 3,000-4,500 views. The holiday movie season continues to be one of RunPee’s most reliable traffic windows, even without a Barbenheimer-level event.
