Genetic scientists in Italy are using CRISPR to genetically modify mosquitoes so that they can’t transmit malaria. (Watch the 5 minute video below for details.)

How long before someone uses this as the basis for a movie about mosquitoes mistakenly modified to grow to the size of a pterodactyl?

I’m calling it now: Mosquitosaurus . Coming to theaters sometime around February 2022. 🙂
