Christopher Nolan’s Next Project

Christopher Nolan has set his sights on one of the most epic stories in all of literature: Homers, The Odyssey. The movie is currently slated for theaters on July 17th, 2026.

As one would expect with any Nolan production, the cast list is notable, including:

  • Zendaya as Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war (speculated)
  • Tom Holland as Telemachus (Odysseus’s son)
  • Anne Hathaway as Penelope, wife of Odysseus
  • Robert Pattinson unknown
  • Matt Damon as Odysseus
  • Charlize Theron as Calypso, a nymph goddess
  • Lupita Nyong’o as Circe, a sorceress capable of transforming people into animals

Wait, that can’t be right. Where’s Cillian Murphy’s name? 🙂

All I want to know is: is Hans Zimmer doing the soundtrack? I hope so.

And it is interesting that there would be two Odyssey movies in a short time. The Return, starring Ralph Fiennes as Odysseus, was released in December of 2024 and is now streaming. It has a 78% critics and 76% audience rating from RottenTomatoes.
