Christopher Nolan has set his sights on one of the most epic stories in all of literature: Homers, The Odyssey. The movie is currently slated for theaters on July 17th, 2026.
As one would expect with any Nolan production, the cast list is notable, including:
- Zendaya as Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war (speculated)
- Tom Holland as Telemachus (Odysseus’s son)
- Anne Hathaway as Penelope, wife of Odysseus
- Robert Pattinson unknown
- Matt Damon as Odysseus
- Charlize Theron as Calypso, a nymph goddess
- Lupita Nyong’o as Circe, a sorceress capable of transforming people into animals
Wait, that can’t be right. Where’s Cillian Murphy’s name? 🙂

All I want to know is: is Hans Zimmer doing the soundtrack? I hope so.
And it is interesting that there would be two Odyssey movies in a short time. The Return, starring Ralph Fiennes as Odysseus, was released in December of 2024 and is now streaming. It has a 78% critics and 76% audience rating from RottenTomatoes.

My bladder thanks you so much!! App works great for telling u when and for how long you have a pee break! I didn't use the timer function so the dialog in the movie was a great clue as to when to go. I also liked the info about each movie to know whether there was any extra scenes during or after the credits. Nothing worse than waiting for all the credits and then no extra scene.
