Movie Review – 80 for Brady

80-for-brady_header

This was a charming movie. I don’t think anyone in the target audience will be disappointed with it. I was in a theater with about twenty people. I’m 56 and I was easily the youngest person in there. All through the movie there were a number of chuckles. Nothing hilarious, but plenty that was amusing. And at the end, there was a smattering of applause.

You can really tell that the main characters really enjoyed working together. I wish they had given is a blooper-reel during the end credits because I’ll bet there were some great moments on the set.

By the way, Tom Brady actually had a nice moment acting. It wasn’t anything award-winning, but he did a solid job. He’s probably the 199th best actor in Hollywood right now.

  1. Hi, Dan!
I’m so glad you gave this a decent rating. I saw it last weekend at a special preview and was so glad I went. When my friend asked how it was, my exact response was: “It is the corniest, stupidest, most predictable movie you didn’t know you might have fun watching while eating your popcorn! Lol” It is definitely not an A-movie and B will be too generous for some, but it’s a definite B for what it is. 🙂

  2. I’m glad you enjoyed it. That’s a great summation. This is a great movie, for what it is.

I went with 3 girlfriends (we’re all from Pittsburgh, by the way) and we are fans of the 4 ladies in the movie. It’s worth seeing for a great laugh. I thought it was very funny and touching.

  4. Hey Debra. Are you ladies Steeler fans? 🙂
