classic movie montage

Because of Covid19 there aren’t any new blockbusters being released in theaters right now, but there’s plenty of old classic movies that we can rewatch and add to the RunPee database. We’d love it if you fired up the RunPee app to check out our Peetimes and let us know what you think of our choices. (Picking Peetimes is a skill. We have to practice just like anything else.)

All the movies in the photo above ARE at drive-in theaters if you’re lucky enough to have one near you. Go out and support them.

Note about classic movies in the RunPee app: you’ll have to use the built in Search feature in the app to find old movies. Just tap on the menu icon at the top-right and select “Search.”

Selecting Peetimes for iconic movies is, on the one hand, easier than doing it for new movies, simply because we know these old movies like the back of our hand. However, it’s more difficult too, because these are iconic movies and every scene is precious. This is what makes it good practice for us. In fact, when someone requests to join the Peeps — the group name for those who pick Peetimes — the first thing I ask them to do is pick one of their favorite movies to rewatch and select Peetimes. Then we discuss their choices and what inspired them to pick the Peetimes they did.

My bladder thanks you so much!! App works great for telling u when and for how long you have a pee break! I didn’t use the timer function so the dialog in the movie was a great clue as to when to go. I also liked the info about each movie to know whether there was any extra scenes during or after the credits. Nothing worse than waiting for all the credits and then no extra scene.

  1. Also, it’s been a ton of fun to watch these old favorites in a new way. I notice all kinds of stuff I never did in dozens (hundreds?) of viewings as I scan for Peetimes. Like in Empire Strikes Back, Luke casually picks a snake out of his X-wing engine while Yoda pleads with him to finish the training. He makes a little face as he moves the snake safely away. I NEVER noticed this before.

The Falcon, stuck to the side of the star destroyer, looking for all the world like a Tick.

Leia also gets a ‘bad feeling about this’…I need to add that to my list article.

I never noticed the Keymaster hilariously imitating Eagon in the Dickless scene in Ghostbusters.

And so on. Little things between Marty and Doc Brown. Dinosaur behaviors that happen in the background. Expressions on everyone in everything that aren’t the one speaking. It’s like having fresh new movies to enjoy!

And I now listen to the soundtracks of these films while writing up Peetimes and penning reviews. A multi-sensory experience with better appreciation.

    Having a ball!

  2. Nice observations. It’s fun finding these little hidden gems. Maybe there’s a post in that all by itself.
