NEW Movie Review - The Courier NEW Movie Review – The Courier
The Courier was a very well acted movie, packed full of talent. This wasn’t really a movie I wanted to see but I’m very happy I did. Now don’t get me wrong, I didn’t enjoy it for entertainment purposes, but more so I was enlightened by it.Starring Benedict Cumberbatch.
Grade:  A
NEW Movie Review - Justice League (Snyder’s Cut) NEW Movie Review – Justice League (Snyder’s Cut)

Justice League tried to do in one movie what the MCU would do over the course of an entire phase. There should have been a Flash and Cyborg stand alone, maybe another Wonder Woman and Aquaman movie. Some more Batman here and there. Introduce the ultimate villain over the span of a few movies. I have no idea why they thought it would be a good business decision to pack two origin stories and introduce a new villain all in one movie.
Movie Grade: D

Note: It’s rare for a Director’s Cut to be a whole letter grade worse than the theatrical version. Somehow DC managed it. Here’s my old review from the original 2017 Justice League (with a C+), and Jilly’s review, which actually awards JL a B- (grading the DCEU on a curve).

James Bond Movie Rewatch Review - Casino Royale (1967) James Bond Movie Rewatch Review – Casino Royale (1967)
Peter Sellers as Bond. Hopelessly outdated, arguably non-canon, wildly over budget, classic song, clashing egos…what stops 1967’s Casino Royale from being a full blown 007 film?
Grade: B+
Our first review in the abovementioned 2021 RunPee James Bond rewatch…
Indie Movie Review -- LUZ Indie Movie Review — LUZ
Luz is a love story about two men who initially meet in prison. It can be difficult to do an LGBTQ+ story well, but writer-director Jon Garcia nails it. It’s one of the most polished indie films I’ve reviewed. If you see Luz, and you should, make sure to check out my exclusive RunPee interview with Jon Garcia at the top of this newsletter.
Grade: A
Indie Movie Review – Hit Record Indie Movie Review – Hit Record
I do enjoy a good documentary. I also enjoy a good comedy. Imagine my delight when I get the opportunity to watch both at the same time, with this ‘mockumentary’ about the shallower ends of the pop music pool.
Grade: A-
