Happy Whatever You Celebrate At This Time Of Year!

It’s this time of year again and we at RunPee would love to wish the compliments of whichever winter holiday you’re celebrating. We wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Cracking Kwanzaa, Super Solstice, and a peaceful New Year.  Having said all that we have mainly concentrated on Christmas films so this may well be the best time to remind you of our constantly being updated Festive Film Round Up.

Shrek – the franchise that keeps on giving! At this rate, there’ll soon be more outings than 007.  How did the latest one do?

Grade: B+

Another Whitney biopic. What is this…number four or five? This one is a dramatisation rather than a documentary and it was, apparently, approved by her estate as a corrective.

Grade: B

A look at the early days of Hollywood. All the ambition, excess, achievement, and overabundance.

Grade: A++

As we have a New Year imminent I thought it was appropriate to take another look at a classic set at that time of year.

Grade: A+

From an early classic to something much more recent. It is too soon to say whether this will be a classic or not but it does feature Tilda Swinton and John Hurt so I’m optimistic!

Grade: A-

And why not take a look at a film set at the turn of the millennium, not just the year? OK, it’s not actually the turn of the millennium but it does feature the force of nature that is Sean Connery!

Grade: B+
