So, we have Emma Thompson, Mindy Kaling, and John Lithgow. It’s a recipe for a great movie. The writing was done perfectly by Mindy Kaling, never missing a beat when it comes to the one liners and caustic comebacks. I have to say that this amazing talent has a great future in Hollywood, and basically any place she cares to call home. Heck, she’d be a great talent even living here in Asheville, North Carolina.
Emma Thompson and Mindy Kaling had superior on screen chemistry that brought this movie to a whole different level. Actually, the on screen chemistry was had by the entire cast. Everyone looked like they had a great time making Late Night, and you’ll have a great time watching it.
Grade: A
About The Peetimes: This was an easy movie for Peetimes since it was dialog-driven and not terribly fast paced.
