Ian Holm 1931-2020

Last week would have seen the 91st birthday of Ian Holm rolling around. Sadly, he died due to complications of Parkinson’s disease. He had a string of iconic film roles during his working life: Bilbo Baggins, Father Cornelius, Sam Mussabini, Ash, and many others. Let’s take another look at the life of a very fine actor.

Blade – What You Need To Know

I remember fondly the Wesley Snipes era Blade films. I wasn’t aware of the Marvel connection as I hadn’t read a Marvel comic since 1971. Still, it did prove the concept and produce the seed money which would, eventually, lead to the foundation of the MCU.

I do like Mahershala Ali and I can’t wait to see what they make of the stories.

I think we’ve all heard of twins making up their own private language and only speaking it between themselves. This is a true story based on a pair of Welsh twins. A quick look at their real story does make you see why it would be a candidate for being turned into a film!
