M. Night Shyamalan has proven himself as a Hollywood God. He brought us stellar films like The Sixth Sense and Signs and blew our minds. He brought us The Village and solidified himself as my favorite director in the business.
Then something happened and he released Lady In The Water. I couldn’t figure out if I fell asleep or was abducted by aliens who told me to hate that movie. I tried watching it again and still wasn’t impressed.

The Happening was somewhere in between. I liked it well enough but it wasn’t Signs-worthy. That’s the slot that Old falls into. There were four of us at the premiere last night: two of us loved it and two of us were on the fence. We all dissected it on the way home and couldn’t come to an agreement.
There are great aspects to it, but on the other hand, there were some balls that were dropped. I feel it’s worthy enough to see in the theater, especially in Dolby.
Let me know what you think. I’m really interested in others’ opinions. Perhaps some of ya’ll can shed some insights on me that I may have missed. Enjoy your weekend and shoot us a comment on where you stand.
Grade: C+
About The Peetimes: There are 2 Peetimes to choose from. I would say the 2nd time is the best time to go. The earlier Peetime is strictly for an emergency.
There are no extra scenes during, or after, the end credits of Old. (What we mean by Anything Extra.)

about the RunPee app.
Must have app if you love the movies
If you’re like me and enjoy a 92oz soda as part of the movie experience, you’ll be thankful for this app telling you the best times to go for a quick break. Whether that’s to refill your soda or recycle it.
Possibly an even better feature is the info on if the movie has after credits scenes. There’s nothing worse than sitting there reading about who the key grip was, then finding out that’s all you did. I blame Marvel for the stupid trend.
Seriously, I see a dozen movies a month and use this app every single time. Worth every Penny of the infinity coin thing I bought.
Developers note: the RunPee app is now, and always will be, 100% free. Donations are optional.
