Spider-Man: No Way Home is, as of writing, the most popular movie ever in our Peeple’s Poll (92.6)—just barely squeaking past Avengers: Endgame (92.2). Something I was curious about is how the movie’s rating would change over time.

The range of the chart should be from 0-100, but that would flatten the differences and make them hard to spot. I reduced the range of the verticle axis to 89-95 so that it would only include the range of outputs, thus exaggerating the differences.
Hard Core Fans vs Casual Fans
But, it does show that Spider-Man: No Way Home faired, slightly better, over the opening weekend.
That’s the time you would expect the hard-core fans to go see the movie, followed by the casual fans going to see it days, or weeks, after opening.
Clearly, all the fans loved No Way Home.
By contrast, some movies peak after opening weekend, which suggests the hard-core fans didn’t like it so much, but the casual fans did. A great example of this is Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker.

Movie Watching Must Have!!
I go feral for this app. I love it so much and I wish everyone knew about it and used it. It is incredibly useful and I would be devastated if this app ever disappeared. Things I love: 1) the pee times! It’s so handy to know the best time to go and then read the synopsis of what’s happening while I’m gone. I never have to worry about missing the good bits! 2) knowing if there is a post-credits scene or not. This might be my fav feature because I would have missed out on some pretty critical scenes if it weren’t for RunPee. 3) the movie review and viewer rankings. This info has made me watch some movies that I normally wouldn’t and it’s nice seeing things outside of my usual scope. 4) that it’s a small family run business. It seems Star Wars fans didn’t like this movie too much. Its best performing days peaked about two weeks after opening weekend.

Lastly, a lot of hard-core MCU fans probably went to see No Way Home again during this period for the big-screen experience. I know some of us at RunPee did. It’s a wonderful, convoluted introduction to the new phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, superbly getting the ball rolling after the decade-long MCU Infinity Saga concluded last year.
