Spider-Man: No Way Home is, as of writing, the most popular movie ever in our Peeple’s Poll (92.6)just barely squeaking past Avengers: Endgame (92.2). Something I was curious about is how the movie’s rating would change over time.

Here is the After Movie Rating for Spider-Man: No Way Home, broken down by day.

The range of the chart should be from 0-100, but that would flatten the differences and make them hard to spot. I reduced the range of the verticle axis to 89-95 so that it would only include the range of outputs, thus exaggerating the differences.

Hard Core Fans vs Casual Fans

But, it does show that Spider-Man: No Way Home faired, slightly better, over the opening weekend.

That’s the time you would expect the hard-core fans to go see the movie, followed by the casual fans going to see it days, or weeks, after opening.

Clearly, all the fans loved No Way Home.

By contrast, some movies peak after opening weekend, which suggests the hard-core fans didn’t like it so much, but the casual fans did. A great example of this is Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker.

Single best investment

By and far best investment Ive made. I used to drive my husband nuts because Id be a fidgeting mess the last half hour of the movie trying not to miss important parts. Now I just turn this app on and *bam* I can actually focus on the movie the whole time. Even puts alerts to my watch so even better. Also I can guarentee all the 5 star star star star star reviews arent fake as one person accused – its just that so many of us movie-goers had the same problem and this fixed it. Yes, it is paid but jeeze its expensive to keep watching movies and updating an app for every movie. And if you read more about the creator he mentions he has several people contributing – so yeah its paid but omg worth every cent. 10/10

It seems Star Wars fans didn’t like this movie too much. Its best performing days peaked about two weeks after opening weekend.

Lastly, a lot of hard-core MCU fans probably went to see No Way Home again during this period for the big-screen experience. I know some of us at RunPee did. It’s a wonderful, convoluted introduction to the new phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, superbly getting the ball rolling after the decade-long MCU Infinity Saga concluded last year.

NOTE: No Way Home is 2 1/2 long, so remember to bring your Peetimes from the RunPee app. We’ve completely updated the app, so it helps if you open the screen to your movie in advance to let the update, well, update itself.
