freaky-movie-posterWhat a fun movie! I can’t remember the last time I walked out of the theater having had so much fun. Let’s face it, when it comes to horror movies it’s all pretty much been done. When I saw Freaky was a Blumhouse production, though, I got excited. They are great at what they do.

So what they did in Freaky was take a horror theme and add a ton of comedy into it. Vince Vaughn nailed this role. He was so much fun to watch as a girl. The fun that they had with the body switching was hilarious.

There was an underlying current to the movie addressing being bullied. There are so many scenes that have very good messages to those who suffer through that. My hope for the audience is that someone sitting there will walk out feeling a lot more confident and empowered over bullies. It doesn’t take fists to put them in heir place.

The theater that I saw it in was filled to capacity, and I’m so happy about that. One of the great things to add to your enjoyment is when the crowd gets into it. There were three separate times that the audience clapped and cheered. A great time was had by all.

So my suggestion is if you want to go out and have some fun during this interruption of normal life due to CoVid, see Freaky. I can guarantee that you won’t think of all the problems in life for at least one hour and forty-one minutes.

Grade: A+

About The Peetimes: I really recommend the 1st Peetime. It gives you plenty of time, and was already seen in the trailers. The 2nd Peetime is just for Emergencies.

There are extra scenes during, or after, the end credits of Freaky. (What we mean by Anything Extra.)

Movie Watching Must Have!!

I go feral for this app. I love it so much and I wish everyone knew about it and used it. It is incredibly useful and I would be devastated if this app ever disappeared. Things I love: 1) the pee times! It’s so handy to know the best time to go and then read the synopsis of what’s happening while I’m gone. I never have to worry about missing the good bits! 2) knowing if there is a post-credits scene or not. This might be my fav feature because I would have missed out on some pretty critical scenes if it weren’t for RunPee. 3) the movie review and viewer rankings. This info has made me watch some movies that I normally wouldn’t and it’s nice seeing things outside of my usual scope. 4) that it’s a small family run business. I love shopping small and it really does feel like I’m part of the RunPee family! If you reach out to them, Dan will personally respond to you and he is so warm and helpful. GET THIS APP AND THEN SUBSCRIBE! It is absolutely worth it and you’ll be using it again and again!
