Look Up “Talent” And” Versatility” And You’ll Find Anthony Hopkins…

Only the third film ever to win the “Big Five” Oscars, The Silence Of The Lambs happened. Thirty years on and it seems impossible that anyone else could play Hannibal Lecter (Shut up, Brian Cox!) but, as is often the case, others were considered for the role. By others I mean Robert De Niro, Robert Duvall, Louis Gossett Jr, Gene Hackman, John Hurt, Jeremy Irons, Derek Jacobi, John Lithgow, and Jack Nicholson were all up for the part; all very capable and experienced actors but could they have made the same impression and walked off with the Oscar?

RunPee News

scream NEW Movie Review – Scream (2022)
The new Scream has action, gore, and humor. There were numerous times that I laughed out loud and when the movie ended it received a standing ovation. My theater was sold out, so the clapping and catcalls were loud. I thought it was a perfect way to end a perfect movie.
Grade: A+
Bruce Willis for rent: CHEAP
Why is Bruce Willis releasing TEN minor movies this year? Here they all are, for what it’s worth. See if anything looks good to you. I hope this isn’t forecasting a Bruce slide into meh-action status.
NEW Movie Review – Hotel Transylvania 4: Transformania
Somehow the monster theme still feels fresh after 4 movies, which is more than Shrek can say. Even more fun than previous Hotel films, assuming you know who the celebrity voice actors are and how their characters grew across the franchise.
Grade: B
Indie Movie Review – An Exquisite Meal
As the perfect evening promised by An Exquisite Meal starts to unravel, so the shocks, twists, and jumps start picking up faster and faster.  How much is a dream or fantasy of the character and how much is required of our old friend — the willing suspension of disbelief — becomes hard to tell.
Grade: B
