Oh look, Death’s playing the same old game of Whac-A-Mole with forgettable teenagers again. Final Destination: Bloodlines has me wondering if the Grim Reaper is suffering from creative burnout. While the original made me actually care whether those kids escaped their fate, this installment left me rooting for Death to hurry up and get it over with already.
The death scenes? Sure, I winced. I visibly said “ouch” multiple times. But impressive Rube Goldberg-style deaths can’t mask a script that feels like it was written by AI prompted with “give me Final Destination, but worse.”

At least the original had characters with personalities beyond “soon-to-be-dead person #4.” This crew makes you check your watch between kills, wondering how many more have to die before you can leave.
If you’re a die-hard fan of watching attractive people meet spectacularly unattractive ends, you’ll get your money’s worth. For everyone else, Death’s dance card is getting predictable, and frankly, he needs some new moves.

Love love love this app. And, after receiving an email from Dan (the creator) that read as though it was a one-on-one communication sent only to me, I felt compelled to leave a long-overdue review. My son and I are absolutely addicted to this app…especially since I discovered it at the onset of the Marvel craze. Now we use it to confirm if there is a scene following the credits. Often times, we are the ONLY ones there watching the bonus scene…and it cracks us up. LOL! Thanks, RunPee!
