About My Father is a cute meet-the-parents type of comedy. These movies seem to roll off Robert DeNiro’s tongue without him even trying. Is it as funny as Meet the Fockers? No, but it was still a fun way to spend the afternoon. The story itself is a pretty old one, but what made this refreshing was the cast. Everybody amped up their characters and delivered a fine little film.
This would make a great date movie, especially if you want them to pop the question.
