Tag – You’re It. Incredible Tag Movie Stats

Read Time:1 Minute, 45 Second

We spend a lot of time looking at the readership stats on our polls, ratings, and reviews. Last night I noticed that our ratings for the film Tag has a pretty wide movie spread, as shown in our polling statistics.

[pullquote]What this means: a lot of people had a low opinion of Tag going in, and had a hugely high opinion of it afterward. Tag is polling WELL above expectations.[/pullquote]. Only Adrift and Overboard (both boat movies, hmmmm) had a wider spread.

Notice how fans originally anticipated the movie would rate in at the C- range (7.1), but walked out with a B- (8.1). People in my demographic (women around 50) gave it a high B (8.6). My vote was an A- (9.1). I see hundreds of movies each year, and this one pleasantly surprised me. I tend to be harsher on films than most. Tag was simply fun, and a nice respite from more serious world concerns.

Take a look:

We broke it down further, using ranges from recent films that RunPee fans voted on:

Only a few movies really disappointed fans, namely Hereditary (by a huge margin),ย Show Dogs (no surprise) and Action Point. And people got as much out of Avenger’s Infinity War as they expected (also, not a surprise – that film knocked it out of the Marvel park).

Anyway, here is the ‘spread’ table. Pluses means better than expected. Films in red mean worse than expected:ย

Tag +0.99
Solo 0.69
Deadpool 2 0.32
Infinity War 0.09
Incredibles 2 +0.36
Oceans 8 +0.42
Artimis +0.34
Hereditary -0.92
Upgrade +0.83
Adrift +1.11
Action Point -0.25
Book Club +0.32
Life of the Party +0.57
Show Dogs -0.24
Breaking In +0.95
Tully +0.45
Overboard +1.28

What does this all mean? It means people are loving Tag way more than expected. The film is kind of delightful. Maybe go see it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Brilliant idea with great information

Iโ€™ve been using RunPee for a few years now and itโ€™s basically a requirement of going to the movies for me. The best part of course are the โ€œpee timesโ€ that give you cues, synopses and times for when you can pee without missing the most important parts of the movie. There is also information about the credits- length, extras and if there are any extra scenes at the wayyy end. Super helpful to just know that it is or isnโ€™t worth staying. There is a timer function that will buzz your phone when itโ€™s a good time to pee. I also appreciate that the app is very conscientious about it being an app you use in a theater- dark background, all silent alarms etc. I will always enjoy the experience of the theater even if I could watch things at home- but Iโ€™ve even used it at home to check for things like after credit scenes or other information too.
