SKYWATCH — a Sci-Fi Short on YouTube starring Jude Law

SKYWATCH is a well-made SciFi short video created by young filmmaker Colin Levy. Best of all, he pulled off the impossible: getting A-list actor Jude Law to star in his video. If you’re a fan of SciFi shorts, or Jude Law, I highly recommend watching the short. Then watch the behind-the-scenes video Colin made about getting Jude to star.

This is a great app. I wish more people would support it

This app provides info about movies, reviews, ratings from people who have seen it before and after viewing. It has links to info about the movies. It let’s you know when there will be a lull in the action and how long it will last. If you want to know what happens during that time, you can check the brief synopsis (you have to click a link, so no accidental spoilers). It has a timer you can set (silent) to alert you to a break. It also tells you whether there is anything extra during or after the credits. It’s really a wonderful app. I’ve subscribed for a couple of years to support the developers, but I noticed some of the links to provide feedback didn’t seem to work today. They also made it free, with voluntary donations to see the pee-times. If you haven’t tried it, I encourage you to do so, and subscribe if you like it. I really hope the app is supported so it can continue to be maintained!

Developers note: RunPee doesn’t make much money but it supports itself nicely. Donations are appreciated, but not required. We’ll add as many movies to the database as we can until there are no more movie theaters.

  1. Um, can I get help get this show made? I watched it today and have a lot of thoughts about where things can go and what might happen. Honestly, this is the near future of Amazon.com, and I for one welcome it. I want what is essentially a replicator in my home (see: Star Trek). But I also get the idea here…what are we giving up in this possible future.

I care less about Jude Law, to be real. That’s a stunt. But the tantalizing aspects of the show are wonderful. What happened to Colin’s friend? Who are the ‘rebels’? Why do drones turn on humans at all….ever — who is programming this?

I need to know what this world is about. And if it is a possible prediction of our near future.

Count me very intrigued. I’d watch this show. And Jude Law aside, Colin Trevor might be someone important to watch.

    Short film grade: A

  2. Totally agree. It could evolve into something fun. I think it would depend of the characters because the dystopia aspect of the story is pretty well worn. But I’d definitely watch this if they made the series.
