Grade: C
Seventh son was not a bad movie by any means. It also was not my favorite. It was kind of like The Sorcerers Apprentice meets Clash of the Titans. Jeff Bridges was a great actor as always, if not slightly cheesy. However, I feel his directors pushed him in that direction.
Julianne Moore was phenomenal, she’s very good at playing a very bad witch. Ben Barnes and Alicia Vikander played off of each other nicely, they all had good chemistry with one another.

The special effects of this movie were awesome. Their monsters were especially interesting being that they were different from any I’ve seen before. A+ to the guy, or gal, in charge of that. The makeups were out of this world. Did you see the spinal cord on Mother Malkin? Creepy cool, huh?!
If you enjoy movies that revolve around things you’re incredibly unlikely to see in everyday life, this one is for you. If you’re a little on the fence about them, I don’t recommend this being your first. It’s a pretty short movie with some cool plot points and some amazing graphics.
