Comic Con is online this week, and free this year (due to the pandemic cancelling the real thing). Anyone can join anywhere in the world, with no need to sign in or wait in line. :- )
Here’s the entire schedule of thousands of panels and exhibits, starting today (Wed the 22nd and running through Sunday) –

All be attending as much as I can, and even dressing for it. The thing is, I’m not wearing cosplay this year. No full outfits. I don’t want to be doing makeup, hair, all the accessories, superhero and/or neoprene hero suits in my own bedroom. So sci-fi, fantasy, gaming, and superhero tee-shirts it is! With hats. If I end up on Zoom somewhere, all anyone will see is my head anyway.
YAY GEEK T-SHIRTS!
I have a lot of awesome and darned useful tees collected over the years. Some are even vintage. So it was hard to choose only four – one for each day. I knew there had to be something to celebrate my favorite franchises: Harry Potter, Star Wars, the Joss Whedonverse, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
For gaming, I chose the cyber world of Pokemon ( I choose YOU, Pikachu!).
I could acknowledge the DC Universe (Wonder Woman 1984 will hopefully still be out this year; fingers crossed). I have a vintage Batman tee and Batman pajama bottoms.
The Choices: What I’m Wearing to SDCC@Home each day
Here are the tees I narrowed it down to, with a few good hats.
I have to apologize for not ironing the shirts…but you get the idea.
What people are saying
about the RunPee app.
July 11, 2019
I’ve loved this app for years and use it at the theater and home. Super easy to use and so helpful to know when it’s a good time to run for the restroom. I notify my kids when it’s close to time, so I don’t end up running them to the restroom multiple times. (Updated review from 4 to 5 . I’d had an issue with the app while at the theater and it was quickly resolved with FANTASTIC customer service. Thanks, RunPee!)

Wednesday — Star Wars: Chewbacca
I’m a Chewie fan and I’m glad he’s still around. I talked to Peter Mayhew a long time ago on a Star Wars bulletin board. (Remember those?) He was so nice and I got to tell him I loved how Chewbacca was basically Han’s conscience. He really liked that and said it was true, but he never thought about it that way, and thanked me.
Chewie is the man… er…Wookiee!
Thursday — The MCU: Captain America Outfit
It’s not much of an outfit, because it features pajama bottoms. But it works well from my bedroom. Captain America is a fine role model (even though I’m Team Iron Man…my Iron Man stuff is packed away somewhere). But I have the Cap tank top, PJs, and fuzzy socks. I hope I can represent America’s ass. 😉
Friday — Firefly: Browncoats unite!
I just have to wear my shiny tee-shirt and Jayne’s cunning hat. Because I’m a Big Damn Hero.
Saturday — Pokemon!
My trainer shirt, Pikachu hat, accompanied with Squirtle, my little hiking pal. Yes, he’s a backpack. Modern life is cool that way.
Sunday — Guardians of the Galaxy
The Guardians are my favorite characters of the MCU. I even got my t-shirt ‘signed’ by Groot himself at the Guardians of the Galaxy Ride at Disney’s California Adventure Park. He wasn’t supposed to do that, but he signed an X on it anyway. (No one said Groot was literate.)
Honorable Mention:
I always wear my Harry Potter complete outfit to Comic Con, and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I’m also a part of my San Diego Harry Potter Meetup. I have complete cosplay outfits for House Gryffindor as a student, Luna Lovegood, Bellatrix Lestrange, Dolores Umbridge, Tonks, and Snape. I’ll be wearing my complete Gryffindor outfit (represent!) for Harry Potter’s Birthday on July 31, which I do every year with my Meetup. I’ll save my robes for that. Even though the party will only be online this year. Accio party!
So that’s it. This is the simplest convention I’ve ever attended. Are you watching the panels for free this week? There are hundreds of choices each day, literally, covering every big fantasy, sci fi, gaming, and anime franchise. Come on in.
