RIP Leslie Phillips CBE

To British people of a certain age, simple phrases like “Ding Dong”, “Hello”, or “I Say” are invariably said in a very certain way. Such is the effect that Leslie Phillips had on popular culture over here. Sadly, he passed away last week after a long illness and I took a look at his career which covered films ranging from Out Of Africa, the Carry On franchise, and the Harry Potter films.

This film is one of the more anticipated films of the post COVID period. Partly because of its place in the MCU phases and partly because how they were going to address the sad passing of Chadwick Boseman.

Grade: C+

Hot potato, orchestra stalls, Puck will make amends. Actually, I don’t think everybody goes through that whenever someone says Macbeth. Still, here’s a charming wee film about ghosts, intrigue, and that play

Good grief! It’s that time of year again. Christmas is less than six weeks away and it’s time to start watching festive films. Does this mean I have to start keeping an ear open for Mariah Carey?
