Media Kit
RunPee has never had an advertising budget. It grew because it solves a real problem for moviegoers and because it makes a great watercooler story. People like telling their friends about the app that tells you when to pee. This page is for anyone telling that story: journalists, editors, bloggers, podcasters, or a fan who wants the facts straight.
Everything here is free to use in coverage of RunPee. You don't need to ask first. If you need something that isn't here, email [email protected].
What RunPee Is, in the Words We'd Like Quoted
Short (one line):
RunPee tells you the best few minutes to leave a movie for the bathroom without missing anything important.
Medium (one paragraph):
RunPee is a free app that tells moviegoers the best times during a movie to go to the bathroom, chosen so you don't miss anything that matters, along with a summary of what happened while you were gone and whether there's anything worth staying for after the credits. Every Peetime is found by a person who watched the entire movie in a theater. It has been running since 2008.
Long (for a background paragraph):
RunPee is a free, donation-supported movie app that has been running since 2008. It tells you which few minutes of a movie you can miss for a bathroom break, gives you a cue to recognize in a dark theater, and hands you a summary of what happened while you were out. It also tells you whether there's anything during or after the credits. Nothing in it is generated by an algorithm or AI: every Peetime comes from a person who sat through the whole movie in a theater. RunPee covers more than 2,300 movies, is used by hundreds of thousands of moviegoers, is available for iPhone and Android, and has no ads, no paywall and no premium tier.

What to Call Things
We'd rather hand you the vocabulary than correct it afterward.
- RunPee: one word, capital R, capital P. Never "Run Pee."
- Peetime: a recommended window to leave. Capitalized, one word. Not "pee time" or "pee-time."
- Cue: what happens on screen to tell you a Peetime has started.
- Synopsis: the short summary of what you missed.
- Anything Extra: whether there's something during or after the credits. Broader than "post-credits scene," which is only one kind.
- Peeps: the people who find Peetimes by watching the whole movie in a theater.

Using These Assets
Use them. Print them, crop them to fit, put them on a website or in a video. You don't owe us a credit line, though we appreciate one.
Two things we'd ask:
- Don't alter the logo. No recoloring, stretching or added effects. Crop and scale freely.
- Don't imply endorsement. Illustrating a story about RunPee is exactly what these are for. Suggesting RunPee endorses a product or a position isn't.
One thing that isn't ours to give: movie posters, stills and key art belong to their studios. Nothing on this page includes them.
