I must admit, I enjoyed Percy Jackson much more than I expected. It isn’t the sort of movie that will win any awards — however, the craftsmanship was first rate. It’s a good story that is well paced throughout. In fact, I found myself getting lost in the story, which isn’t very common since I’m busy writing down notes for Peetimes.
The special effects were beautiful; the acting was very good. I especially enjoyed Nathan Fillion as Hermes.
There were a few funny moments, enough to keep things light and not make the movie feel weighted down. Even though it’s been many many years since I cracked a book on mythology, I was never lost or bored during this fine movie.

I’m looking forward to re-watching both Percy Jackson movies together when this comes out on DVD.
Grade: B-
About The Peetimes: Note: the movie started unexpectedly and so the peetime cues may be off by about a minute.
The first peetime is definitely the best. It is a little longer – 3.5 minutes long – and has very little dialog.
The second peetime comes during a much more involved portion of the movie. You don’t want to use it unless it’s an emergency.
There are no extra scenes during, or after, the end credits of Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters. (What we mean by Anything Extra)

Brilliant idea with great information
I’ve been using RunPee for a few years now and it’s basically a requirement of going to the movies for me. The best part of course are the “pee times” that give you cues, synopses and times for when you can pee without missing the most important parts of the movie. There is also information about the credits- length, extras and if there are any extra scenes at the wayyy end. Super helpful to just know that it is or isn’t worth staying. There is a timer function that will buzz your phone when it’s a good time to pee. I also appreciate that the app is very conscientious about it being an app you use in a theater- dark background, all silent alarms etc. I will always enjoy the experience of the theater even if I could watch things at home- but I’ve even used it at home to check for things like after credit scenes or other information too.
