Peace River caught me off guard. I knew nothing about the movie going in. Lucky for me, prior to the showing there were interviews with the writer/actor, Benjamin M. Jones. He truly wrote this from his heart. I felt it throughout the entire film. The story was endearing, heartbreaking, and
This is a very religious movie. I myself am not religious so that part of the story did not appeal to me. However, if you are a religious person, this one’s for you. His message is clear.

The cast is made up of people involved in his vision. I don’t believe they are professional actors. That being said, the acting wasn’t great. The filming wasn’t great but again, the story was there.
Grade: C+
About The Peetimes: Heads up: The showing I went to surprised me. Normally they show about 15 minutes of trailers. This movie had none; it started right away. I’m not sure if this is a theater glitch or is specific to this movie. Be on time — you don’t have the extra 15-minute leeway we’re all guilty of using sometimes.
There are extra scenes during, or after, the end credits of Peace River. (What we mean by Anything Extra.)

RunPee is one of my favourite apps. No more googling a film before you see it and risking spoilers, this app has everything you need to know, not just the best time to go to the toilet. Dan, the developer, also offers an amazing customer service experience. I recently switched phones, and Dan was very generous in sorting things out with me as I moved over to my current system. If you’re an avid film watcher, this is the app for you!
