Movie Review – Don’t Worry Darling

Don’t Worry Darling was not as good as I was hoping for. It needed something more. A little more backstory would have helped but I felt they brushed over that in lieu of setting the tone. They did great on that, just like the acting. Every single performance was a top-notch performance. I absolutely loved the setting and wardrobes. It looked like a great movie but it fell kind of flat story-wise.

Florence Pugh was splendid. (AliceChambers) I read that Olivia Wilde was going to take that part but decided to give it to Florence when she saw her in Midsommar; That was a great decision. Not only because Florence did such a great job as Alice but the role of Bunny was perfect for Wilde. She was my favorite character, everything about Bunny was cool.

It dragged a bit in places and other spots felt rushed over. This is a movie that I’ll be scratching my head over for quite some time. It’s not a movie that I will rush back out to see, I don’t think waiting for it to stream will lose any of its big-screen appeal, I would recommend to my family and friends to wait and save the high ticket cost and the price of gas to get to the theater.

Grade: C+

About The Peetimes: I found 3 Peetimes. I think they’re all equally solid, you won’t lose the vibe the movie’s going for.

There are no extra scenes during, or after, the end credits of Don’t Worry Darling.

This is a great app. I wish more people would support it

This app provides info about movies, reviews, ratings from people who have seen it before and after viewing. It has links to info about the movies. It let’s you know when there will be a lull in the action and how long it will last. If you want to know what happens during that time, you can check the brief synopsis (you have to click a link, so no accidental spoilers). It has a timer you can set (silent) to alert you to a break. It also tells you whether there is anything extra during or after the credits. It’s really a wonderful app. I’ve subscribed for a couple of years to support the developers, but I noticed some of the links to provide feedback didn’t seem to work today. They also made it free, with voluntary donations to see the pee-times. If you haven’t tried it, I encourage you to do so, and subscribe if you like it. I really hope the app is supported so it can continue to be maintained!

Developers note: RunPee doesn’t make much money but it supports itself nicely. Donations are appreciated, but not required. We’ll add as many movies to the database as we can until there are no more movie theaters.

This might have a couple of spoilery sentences so read at your peril.

I saw it when it came out. I was super excited after seeing the trailers that gave just a tad more explanation as to what may be going on. I watched the whole movie feeling the buildup of everything and then “pop”. It busted and fell flat to me in the end. Nothing was explained as to what happened…it just blacked out. Wait..WHAT?!? I sat and watched only to be left with more questions than answers.
