It doesn’t do anything to move the needle in the mystery genre, but if you’re a fan of the Hercule Poirot movies then you’ll probably feel right at home.
This story did do an interesting job intertwining the aspect of the supernatural in a way that fits with a Hercule move. I checked IMDb and RottenTomatoes and this movies user-rating is pretty much in line with the other two.

Personally, it’s hard to review a mystery movie because this is the hardest genre by far to do Peetimes for. It takes a lot of focus to keep up with notes during the movie and that really distracts from the enjoyment. And part of the enjoyment of a mystery movie is trying to figure out what’s going to happen. I just don’t have the mental bandwidth available to even try. But my wife watched it and she told me who the killer was about 30 seconds before the scene when Hercule spills the beans. So it is possible to enjoy this movie and extrapolate from the clues and figure out the mystery yourself.
Grade: C+
About The Peetimes: I’ve said many times, mystery movies are the hardest to do Peetimes for. If you like mysteries then I’m sure you understand why. I recommend the 2nd Peetime. It’s near the middle of the movie and is the only Peetime that is fairly easy to summarize. The first Peetime is suitable, but the last Peetime is for emergencies only.
There are no extra scenes during, or after, the end credits of A Haunting in Venice.

Movie Watching Must Have!!
I go feral for this app. I love it so much and I wish everyone knew about it and used it. It is incredibly useful and I would be devastated if this app ever disappeared. Things I love: 1) the pee times! It’s so handy to know the best time to go and then read the synopsis of what’s happening while I’m gone. I never have to worry about missing the good bits! 2) knowing if there is a post-credits scene or not. This might be my fav feature because I would have missed out on some pretty critical scenes if it weren’t for RunPee. 3) the movie review and viewer rankings. This info has made me watch some movies that I normally wouldn’t and it’s nice seeing things outside of my usual scope. 4) that it’s a small family run business. I love shopping small and it really does feel like I’m part of the RunPee family! If you reach out to them, Dan will personally respond to you and he is so warm and helpful. GET THIS APP AND THEN SUBSCRIBE! It is absolutely worth it and you’ll be using it again and again!
